The unit is clean and well stocked with cooking utensils, cleaning supplies, and linens. The unit provides easy, direct access to the beach and the property, directly from the screened in back patio area. Ground floor eliminates the need to haul groceries or luggage up flights of stairs. We definitely recommending staying here

Best snorkeling of trip was in our own backyard... 20 min swim to reef. Turtles, nurse sharks, so many rays, lion fish, beautiful coral etc. Lots of seaweed where water meets beach, but dock with ladder for easy access to clear water past seaweed. Condo was nice, modern, and clean. Kitchen had all we needed to cook several dinners there, but there were also 2 walkable nice (though expensive) restaurants and a few more within 5 min drive. Host and management company were both super nice and responsive. Even supplied a crib. Laundy machines within our private condo was super helpful. Resort was very quiet and felt quite secluded, but it was an easy 45 min drive to the touristy stretch on west coast. More variety of snorkeling and restaurants in the west, but Rum Point had our favorite spots so I'd definitely stay there again.

Peaceful Week on our favorite island

We had a lovely week relaxing at Rum Point. We have stayed on this end of the island/complex before so we knew what to expect. The Condo was nice and the direct walk out to the beach made coming/going easy. Luckily the complex was not very busy our week and enjoyed just a handful of people on the beach. Only real negative were the matresses. We enjoyed snorkeling out front and leaving for boat trips with a quick drive to Kiabo. Overall, nice stay and would return!

Excellent condo, property & location

Overall we were very happy with this condo, property and location and would absolutely stay here again. We were a family of 4, kids aged 5 and 11. The condo was very spacious and very nicely decorated. The on site beach was perfect for our kids to play at and for sunsets everyday. The kids also enjoyed walking down the dock at rum point next door, and we appreciated being able to take sting ray city trips from the same dock. We also did scuba diving trips from the east end which was an easy drive from the condo. We specifically wanted a quieter area compared to the seven mile beach area and this gave us that but also options to dine out at rum point or kaibo if we wanted too.

Perfect location for relaxation

We had an amazing 11 day stay here, we have stayed in the Rum Point area 12 times now so there were no surprises on how beautiful the area is for the beach, swimming and snorkelling. Really spacious and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and we appreciated the gift basket that was left for us. We actually brought and left a new frying pan there too so the next guests can enjoy.Couches were comfy and 2.5 washrooms that is a plus. What can't be beat is the location, the beach at The Retreat is perfect to head on out to see the turtles and stingrays.It is a great ground floor unit and we plan to be back!

Best location on the island!

This was the best beach for swimming and snorkeling, and just steps from our condo. We had a car so we checked a few other areas but we liked Rum point best. So close for stingray city, bioluminescence bay, starfish point! The restaurant/bar is great- just walk over in your swimsuit! The condo needed some upgrades- sharp knives, can opener, more t.p. would’ve been nice- (we had to buy some), the floors weren’t cleaned very well, but we overlooked it as we were so pleased with the location. We’ve definitely stayed in more comfortable places, but this was ok. Thelda responded to our questions right away. Chisolms grocery store was just minutes away and all we needed. It was a great place for our girls trip!

Good spot, BUT...

we came back in August 2023. The unit itself is great, though we will never do it again in the month of August. What we did not know at the time, the entire area is basically shut down from mid August to mid to late September. There maybe two or three unites that were occupied during our entire stay out of twenty some units becasue the entire North area shut down during that time except maybe one or two restaurants/business. The upside was we had the beach pretty much all to ourselves and the fish out there were amazing!! Another thing to take note is the mosquitoes were CRAZY aggressive! I got bitten all over my body even though I had long sleeves rash guard on! Unit itself is great, have all the amenities you needed, the host was nice and gave us a bottle of wine, coffee and local bakery goods. Love the master bedroom bathroom's big shower. If we come back to Grand Cayman not in August we will definitely choose this unit again.

Review of July Vacation

Absolutely amazed by the property, the communication from the owners/operators, and the amenities it offered. Full snorkle gear, sand toys for my daughter, right on the water with private beach (that during our time no one was utilizing other than us). Our stay orginally was from Saturday to Thursday but with the hurricane Beryl, we had to extend the stay. We moved hotels to somewhere more inland but that was nothing negative about this property. The property was fully ready to take on the storm, we just mitigated as much risk as possible. Before, during and after the storm, the owners/management we extremely helpful and responsive to messages and offered any help they could. When we come back, I will be sure to only stay at this resort, I could not be more happy with everything. 200/100.

Gorgeous views and clean accomodations

My sister and I took our first vacation together ever and neither of us had been to the Cayman Islands. The condo we stayed in was very clean, functional and well-decorated. The view of the beach from the primary suite was indescribable! We spent a lot of time on the beach there and enjoyed the sunsets. The welcome gift basket from the owner was an extremely nice touch as well! If we visit the Caymans again we will definitely consider staying here again!

Amazing stay

This was a beautiful place to stay and great for catching the sunrise! The gift basket was an awesome surprise. Host was very responsive. Everything we needed was there, even some coolers so we could pack snacks for a day out. Easy check out. Thanks for the great memories!
