Nice area
Great area close to attractions and restaurants. However, accommodation was disappointing. Floors were sticky, building had a certain smell to it, bathroom mats were awful with toothpaste stuck to them, skirting boards were dirty, bed pillows were ready for renewal and not enough towels in the property for more than one/two nights stay. Parking was only free after 6pm until 9am outside the apartment. Had to make a few requests for WiFi info as was not given any. Could not get into the apartment entrance at night as code would not work. Thankfully for us but not for security reasons back entrance was not locked. Upon leaving next day some person had decided to vomit on the steps from the front entrance to sidewalk.

This property is located in a convenient area, but is not as advertised. This property was far from upscale. It looks like a poorly maintained college student's apartment. The furnishings are of extremely poor quality, the whole apartment reeks of marijuana and it needs a lot of maintenance. Although the apartment was clean, the lack of maintenance gave the place the appearance of being dirty. The smoke detector was missing and the wires were dangling. The exhaust fan in the bathroom is hanging out of the ceiling and one of the bulbs is missing in the light bar. It appears the kitchen was stocked from the clearance section of a thrift store. There was an issue with the parking that created a problem for my entire stay, including the threat of being towed for parking in the indicated space, followed by a parking ticket when we parked on the street as indicated next. The only way to reach the owner was by text which is very unprofessional when dealing with issues. So, the free parking cost me about $50 as well as being a constant issue to be dealt with. I had to keep finding places to stash my vehicle to avoid more tickets, towing threats and expense. Overall, I would say that I paid more than double what the unit was worth. The location was the only upside. My family suffered through 3 days of a horrible marijuana smell and we were constantly frustrated with the parking issue. Also, I was honestly embarrassed that I put my family in such a place.

Nice Apt in a Great location
We stayed for a short overnight trip and it was perfect for what we needed. So many places to eat and things to do within walking distance. The beds were comfortable and the apartment had many thoughtful amenities.

We were back home for a family event, Joel’s place is just as advertised, nicely appointed and clean. Spacious apartment within walking distance to all the local downtown restaurants and sites. Conveniently has a parking space. Joel was responsive and helpful. Would be happy to stay here again!

West Freemason District Surprise
We have stayed multiple times in the Tidewater Area. This by far was the most comfortable and convenient for just the two of us. It is spacious and served us well. My communication with the host was answered within minutes. We would hope it is available for our future visits.
