Head over to the Nye Beach Turnaround to access the beach which is less than a half-mile from this house. There are numerous dining options in the Nye Beach area, most within walking distance. Additional restaurants can be found on Highway 101 just a short drive to the east where you will also find major shopping and necessities. Or drive down to the Embarcadero, about a mile-and-a-half southeast, where you will find even more restaurants, stores, and local attractions to explore. Or cross the historic Yaquina Bay Bridge to visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium.

The host was very quick in responding to questions. The house was beautiful and had everything we wanted to spend Thanksgiving away from our home. The location is close to local eateries and shops. Also easy access to the ocean. This stay was all we hoped for and more.

The location is great! The neighbors are really nice. The little free library crossed the street is fun. Nothing beats the sunsets if you walk around the counter. Upstairs has new floors and very comfortable for our family of 5 and dog. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. Down stairs was great too but as others have said the carpet is stained. It was clean though. A couple of things: don’t park in the garage because the other neighbor parks in front of theirs and you can’t get out. The hedges are pretty overgrown in the front so we always parked in the back in-front of the garage like the neighbors. Customer service is very responsive and understanding. Extra soap under the sink and big the garbage cans are on the side of the house. Our kiddos enjoyed buoy mannequin out side. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely place. Nicely set up, upgraded and stocked kitchen. Easy walk to the main entrance to the beach and main tourist shopping area. Plenty cold outside if you want it cool, and very handy built-in individual room heaters as needed.

Great place

This place was amazing even with a 1 year old but bring a gate for stairs if you have a young one. Only complaint was the roku was missing, and VRBO has your check in listed at 4pm which was correct but check out as 11 and we were greeted at 10 by a house keeper.... luckily she was nice understanding and didn't rush us. So that's on vrbo and they need to fix that. Every thing was amazing, created great memories for our sons 1st birthday and hope to stay there again 😀

Spacious, good location to Nye beach stores/restaurant. Have a meal at Georgios. Bring your own hairdryer, streaming tv service and sauté pan.

The home is nice, there are games and kites to use if you choose. It’s a pet friendly home so the carpets are stained with pet smells lol so as a pet owner it was homey lol, the carpet wasn’t vacuumed very well because all our clothes collected long white dog hair lol. And no instructions for the fireplace or it just wasn’t working. No ocean view and it’s a really long steep walk down to the beach.

Great Location, House Needs Attention

The location of the property is very convenient to Nye Beach, which is a favorite place of ours on the Oregon Coast. The house is nice overall, roomy, and the beds are comfortable. We offer a few suggestions to make it more comfortable for people. It would be nice to have a welcome binder with specific instructions and details about the house. The parking instructions should clarify that you can park on the street as well as in back (3 cars would never fit in back), and the line for the neighbor's property should be marked so people don't unwittingly encroach. The listing is not clear about the TV and lack of cable. The fireplace doesn't work, which should be fixed. With 3 bedrooms and plenty of space, the living room and dining area should have seating for more than 3-4 people and a couple of end tables. Nightstands with lamps on both sides of the beds would be nice. We were only given 2 dishwasher soap pods and 2 dishtowels for a 4-day stay, and we ended up washing by hand a lot. Many of the pots and silverware needed washing before use. The BBQ was extremely dirty and should be cleaned after each stay, plus the grill brush needs replacing. Lastly, there was a strong odor downstairs that smelled like sewer, which should be checked. While each of these items is small by itself, all together they amounted to a bit of a damper on our stay unfortunately.

Overall, this was a good selection. However, there were several issues. A larger garbage can outside is needed. It would be helpful to know when the garbage is picked up. Enough of the dishes and silverware were dirty that we washed everything before using. The dishwasher was noisy, so we mostly hand washed the dishes. There were no kitchen towels, so we used a lot of paper towels. Fortunately, I brought some. One of the kitchen chairs was damaged and should be discarded. Either the stove isn't level or the burners are. The carpet is badly stained, and the house smelled badly when we arrived. We immediately opened the windows to air the house out. There was a sign requesting that shoes be removed, so we wore socks which got pretty dirty. We were uncomfortable going barefoot because of the stained carpeting. There was a discrepancy about parking (i.e., parking in front and back versus parking only in the back). A list of what's available in the kitchen would be helpful. We enjoyed the location and the easy access to everything.

Good: location, allowed dogs, kitchen accommodations, Barbecue grill. Bad: carpet stains, cluttered garage, not enough soap for the dishwasher, my wife did not feel like it was clean. Need to trim the hedges in front of the home, Maintenance guy could not get the gas fireplace to work. It would have been cheaper to rent through Vacasa

Beautiful Place
