Value for money. No air conditioning so needed windows open. Unfortunately the road outside is very noisy as are some of the characters who drink cider at the tables outside until late at night. The staff did intervene as needed.

Well located hotel ideal for the Glasshouse (aka The Sage) in Gateshead but also near Millennium bridge to get over to the quayside. Good value compared to others in the area/across the river. Modern, clean, just the job.

Decent stay, well priced.

Lovely welcoming service at reception and bar / restaurant area. Room is large and comfortable if dated and dusty. Bathroom and bedding clean but dust on things like remote control, drinks tray etc. Good decent for a hotel bar but bar area absolutely chaos with people who seem to have no social skills - people having loud conversations on speakerphone, screaming kids, drunk adults and possibly the rudest, noisiest tour group I've ever encountered. On the whole though good value for money.

Amazing!

My experience at this hotel was absolutely amazing! With booking last minute as my other hotel fell through, this one was beyond expectations and they should be given a reward to how amazing they were. Room was in impeccable condition and had a very comfy and good stay here.

Modernish hotel near the Baltic on Gateshead quayside with ample, easily accessible parking. Road noise is noticeable if you're on that side of the hotel, and the window may need to be open, as there is no air conditioning.

The reception girl when I come in at 11 is really nice and friendly. But then it is impossible to find a reception at the rest of stay. No one at 5pm and 8am next day. Impossible to notify that we are in need. The bed is moving no door at the shower so water everywhere in bathroom

The Hotel was fine, when I booked the room it was advertised as coming with a breakfast by the time I got to check in the breakfast had disappeared. Don't trust them, when this stuff is advertised take screen copy's.

Top hotel

As always, a great hotel with big extremely clean rooms, a fantastic bar area and excellent staff. It’s my favourite hotel in Newcastle/Gateshead. One morning, I had to ask the cleaning ladies to keep their voices down as they were talking very loudly. However, they were very polite, apologised, and made a real effort to be quiet while cleaning the rooms next to mine. Thank you!
