I was given room 632 . It wasn’t until I came back to this room after I had been to the concert late that night that I realised the door didn’t lock .
If you pushed on the door it would open from the hall way.
I had been up since 3am to get my flight from Brisbane so the last thing I wanted was to have to pack up and move rooms.
I put two chairs and the ironing board across the door to limit the access if someone pushed the door and realised they could get in.
I had a restless night because of this.
Also i question if the room had been cleared properly as there were cans still in the rubbish bin, which I took photos of.
The next morning I spoke to a male at reception regarding the door issue.
I went to breakfast
After breakfast he came to me and said that they knew about the door of this room not locking and having an issue but unfortunately I was given the key card to this room by mistake- I actually should have been in room 631.
He apologised and said that he would get someone to ring me.
Well I’m still waiting for the call .
Obviously very poor communication between your reception staff.
I paid over $300.00 for the night and I feel it’s a disgrace I was booked into a room which was known to have a door that didn’t lock.
I feel a refund is warranted.
Worse still is that no one from your motel chain has bothered to contact me .
Very poor service.
