Pros: everything
Cons: Nothing
Hotel staff was exceptional. Every question or request we had was handled quickly and efficiently. I loved the lobby with several wonderful pieces of furniture and a fireplace. It was a joy to stay there.

not informed clearly

Pros: Clean, quiet, great location
Cons: Informing me of the $100 security policy verbally
I love this hotel- but they weren't clear to me about the add'l $100 "security" charge to my credit card. They said it was on my sign in sheet but was weary from travel and the type was small. I think they should of made it clear in person when checking me in verbally.

Maritime Hotel

Pros: See above
Cons: Keep advising past customers of lower rate promotions (you have the data in your system so market to us periodically).
Location: Best part of Chelsea. Great restaurants and clubs, as well as the skyway.
Excellent location for Chelsea activities. Courteous and professional staff. And disturbance from Halloween night festivities and the customary Tao Saturday night crowd.

A Ship on Land

Pros: Customer service, location.
Location: Chelsea Market, Walk the High Line, Pier 64 park
We stayed at this hotel because our friends recommended so we could walk to their wedding in Chelsea area. It was unique and designed like we were on a ship. I loved the porthole windows and the cabin feel shelves next to the bed. Shower was large and very new. The ear plugs were another unique idea for those of us who are not used to City noise at night. The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. The best I've experienced. They explained how we could get a discount for parking across the street. Unfortunately, our room was not ready when we arrived at 2 pm, but check-in was not until 3. .... and the same happened for others who were also attending the wedding. We have always found hotel rooms ready an hour before check-in. While their hotel restuarant was under renovation, they had created a lovely set-up for free continental breakfast with wonderful food and plenty of seating to socialize with guests and friends. They also offered free wine and cheese in the evening at this location but we were partying at the reception.
