I had various issues with this property that is still being worked on resolving. First I was not given the room that I booked and second there was a roof leak that flooded the floor of the hotel room and got my suitcase wet. Third there were several issues with the elevators not working. I had no choice but to stay in a room that I did not book and the only satisfactory solution is for a full refund which has been difficult to get. The hotel is unresponsive in phone calls and contacting.

The location was the selling point of this hotel. Other than that, it was fairly miserable. It took several calls to the desk to get a working key to the room. The window air conditioner was filthy and a “Clean Filter” light was on. No hot water the first day. Hand soap and Body Wash dispensers empty. Bugs in room.

Every time I call and explain why I’m calling the person just says hold on and transfers me to a voicemail. I’m at the point I will need to dispute the charge with my credit card. The room was outdated, walls and doors were dirty and old. It was very noisy at night. You can hear every door slam and noise from the street. The only plus was the location to Times Square and the subway.

Every bad comment before this was true. I recently stayed here despite these reviews because they all seem mostly tolerable and they were. However, this has been a headache from start to finish. I set up my reservation through Expedia and noticed the check-in time was three pm. I was repeatedly told that I needed to add a reservation for the day before so we could check in when we landed and there was a note on our account reflecting that. So I pay an additional near $200 for the day and when we land I expected smooth sailing. Nope. When I arrived, the front desk clerk, a 5’3 Indian 250lbs man with a toilet bowl haircut and 5 whisps of hair failing to cover his baldness, said we no call no showed for our reservation for the day before and they canceled it. He also went on to say that we didn’t need to do that in the first place because he could just check us in “because he’s him and he can do that”. So already upset but extremely tired we pay the deposit and head to our room. Now I read previous reviews so I knew the room was microscopic and the showers would be freezing. All turned out to be true. When checking out the fort desk clerk a 5’7 Hispanic lady with long straight black hair was clearly disinterested in working. I told her room x was checking out she replies k. No box for the keys no nothing so I put the keys on the counter in front of her and go on my way. Now we aren’t dirty people so I fully expected my deposit back. Nope. Because they had to take out trash? 1/10

I am very disappointed how the hotel and also Expedia handled my need for cancelation with no understanding or concern for my predicament due to inclement weather. While I am aware of the non refundable nature of the hotel reservation, I believe both Expedia and gallivant hotel put up a cold wall and refused to offer me credit for future purchases. I am reassessing my relationship with Expedia given this recent situation.

I would like to share some concerns regarding my recent stay at your property. Unfortunately, I encountered several issues that affected my experience: • Lack of proper cleaning • Presence of worms in the bathroom • The housekeeping trolley was frequently left in the middle of the hallway • The elevators often did not function properly • The front desk staff demonstrated a lack of customer service and responded in an impolite manner Additionally, I am still waiting for the refund of my deposit to be returned to my account. Front desk told me will be return but nothing yet. I’m been in contact with them by mail but I don’t have any clear answer yet. They said will check by the account manager but I’m still waiting. Very bad service, if I’m not following up they will keep the 350 usd

Everything was pretty good in my room. Comfortable bed, A/C worked well, and housekeeping was great. Negative: the construction of the shower was bizarre. The shower head constantly sprayed water all over the floor and the tile had missing grout, which most certainly is causing water damage. Also the last day of my stay I didn't have any hot water!

Not clean, water and ice machine work but they tell their guest it doesn’t l. It’s located on the 4th or 5th floor of I remember. You just need to flip the switch on since they turn it off, elevator is so slow, I wait 10 min each time since only 1 worked and the other 3 were broken the 8 days I stayed there. Mo housekeeping and I didn’t get any discount when I asked, I was told “ You paid for what you get, we can’t give you a discount. If you wanted luxury stay at a better hotel” when did taking the elevator and not walking up 10 flights of stairs a luxury at a hotel?

I told the front desk the sink would not drain, Shower drain really slow with a huge black hair ball floating around, desk was sticky and just dirty. No bath towels on arrival. Response-glad it was a good stay.

By far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I wouldn’t pay $100/night to stay here much less the $550/night they charge. It was old and broke down inside. Rooms were tiny and dirty. Could see rust coming through the walls of our bathroom. No hot water half of the trip. No WiFi. No security. Called front desk 100 times and they never answered once.
