Honeymoon Trip

We stayed here on our honeymoon. Beautiful home. Well maintained, stocked & furnished. Great price, very affordable! Super easy check in and out. Great location close to everythingBut yet not in middle of city. Host are very friendly. And their sweet dog Roo is such an awesome co-host! Was missing my fur babies and he was so sweet and friendly! Can’t wait to go back again and will hopefully get to stay at same place.

A great place to stay!

Everything was great about our long weekend! We stayed there instead of a hotel and it was well worth it. Next time we visit, we will spend a lot more time at the cottage and enjoy the beautiful river! The hosts were very friendly and made us feel welcome.

Nice quiet getaway

Originally, I was supposed to come down with my 11 year old daughter but she got sick the two days before I left so the trip was just me. The property is very quiet and centrally located if you want to check out New Bern and the Croatan National Park. Since my itinerary with my daughter was blown I had to pivot to other things and the park turned out to be fantastic hiking. A quick 15 minutes away you also get to see the New Bern civil war battlefield with an interesting history. The house was great! Very clean and well maintained. I think it’s the best maintained property I’ve enjoyed using VRBO. Also, the owners were friendly and very nice. I brought my own dog which worked out great.

New Bern Guest Cottage

This is a lovely cottage. Immaculate and beautifully decorated. The owners are very friendly and the property on the riverfront is relaxing and peaceful. We enjoyed our visit and hope to return.

Spending time in this a beautiful cottage on the river side was the perfect end to our summer travels. Matt and Marisol goes way above and beyond with their hospitality. Greeting us at our arrival, making us felt welcomed, like celebrities. The cottage has absolutely everything that would need for your stay away from your home. We travel with kids and we always cook, we had everything that wee needed even olive oil and Tupperware. The cottage is well named pristine, because it was the cleanest VRBO that we ever stayed in.( we stay in VRBOs several times a year). Roo the sweetest dog was a definitet plus.

Birthday trip

The cottage was clean and the hosts were great and they walked our dog for us while we were out for a day trip. I cannot say enough about the experience and the fishing was great from the dock. Our dog Tide had a great time.

Trent River Relaxation

This property was very nice, cottage was clean and neat. We enjoyed the river, fire pit, dock, kayaking and pedal boat! As stated, Property owner was on site and very accommodating. This is a great place for relaxation, As stated in the summary, the hill to get to the river is a bit steep but not a problem for active people!

Dog friendly

The owners were wonderful. I have a really big dog. They communicted and were very helpful. The home was immaculate, well designed, and beautiful. 15 minites from newburn town center and 20 from more modern.shopping. fire pit available. Could easily sleep 6. Ammenities. Beautiful river. The home is seperate from the owners other home and very spacious. Nice not busy road with lots of treees to walk my dog. 12/10 would stay again.

A Home Away From Home

Perfect riverfront cottage

Just everything we wanted and needed. Serene setting not stuck in a crowded neighborhood. Perfect for night time stargazing. Hosts were amazing.. extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

This property and host is hands down the best place we ever stayed.this is our second time staying there in a year.best of all became great friends with the host.its great place to relax and unwind down by the dock on the property,and amazing sunsets and really enjoyed the paddle boat on the river.

Perfect Getaway

Beautifully decorated and included everything we needed. Very clean and exactly as described. We celebrated our anniversary watching the beautiful sunsets over the river! Quiet neighborhood where we felt very safe. Matt & Marisol were great hosts, very responsive and so friendly. Their dog, Roo was a perfect gentleman too. I would definitely rent from them again.

the get away cottage

We had a nice time! It would be nice in the summer to use the kayaks-we did have a little trouble at night navigating, the GPS had the road names wrong- but we got it the second night- and learned our way around, Randy even said he would like a little place like this out on some land- just don't know where? but that is a huge compliment!!
