great friendly staff but more like a 1950s cabin thats never been refurbished, like times stood still and needs paint, woodwork , sinks hanging off wall , water sometimes works. good for 60-90 a night and its better than camping. but a joke at 150/night

We loved the staff, we loved our arranged pickup from the airport. We loved our upgrade to a room with a Caribbean Sea view. The water pressure wasn’t good but I have experienced that in other parts of Jamaica. The location is super and so amazingly beautiful. The sunsets, the beach and the convenience to all of Negril’s 7 mile beach make it a good place to stay even though it is a little overpriced for the rooms in comparison to other hotels in Negril. ( Also remember to bring ear plugs because music plays loud late into the night from across the street at The Jungle nightclub)

What a marvelous property! This place is a gem on the seven mile beach. Miss Bavra makes sure that anything you need is taken care of, and she'll let you know all of the good places to see and eat, all you gotta do is ask. Miss G makes without a doubt the best rum punch in Negril. Milton and his attentive security staff keep your beach day quiet and interruption-free. And you'll especially wanna come for Chef Brown: the man who turns fish into fine art! Miss Bavra and her staff know all their guests by their first names, and I can see why: this is the place you're gonna find yourself coming back to again and again. This place isn't like staying in a resort hotel...it feels more like you're staying at your aunt's beach house. There's no better place to watch a Negril sunset than on the shaded beach of Whistling Bird. Thanks for a great trip guys!

This was our second stay at Whistling Bird. We love this place! It is a little slice of Peace and serenity on 7 mile beach. The staff is AMAZING! They look out for you as if you are family. It is not full of amenities but the “home” feeling makes up for it. The bed is hard and the pillows are flat but we think of it as staying with a relative you enjoy

Very relaxing stay.
When we first arrived it was pouring rain. Calvin met up with us at the gate ,with 2 umbrellas in hand to make it much nicer to get to our room. Right from the start it was a very comfortable and welcoming place. The rest of the staff was just as attentive ,right there to make sure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Our stay was a lot of fun , it was just what we were looking for ,a very comfortable room just steps from a great beach, with all we needed right there so we didn't have to leave the grounds if we didn't want to .
