We had a wonderful stay and the home worked perfectly for our group. With a couple, two single guys, and a father and son, everyone had their own space and room to relax, while still having great common areas to spend time together. The layout made it easy to hang out as a group without feeling crowded.The kitchen was excellent and well‑equipped — we especially enjoyed grilling out our first night, which was a great way to kick off the trip. The home was a perfect retreat: quiet and relaxing, and a welcome break from the craziness of downtown.That said, getting around was still incredibly easy — it was just an inexpensive Uber ride to everything we wanted to do. Overall, this was an ideal place to stay and we’d absolutely recommend it for groups looking for comfort, space, and convenience.

We had a great stay. It was a good set up for four kids and two sets of parents with the kids getting the whole top floor. The place was extremely clean and the beds were really comfortable. Location was perfect for us, close enough to things but not in the center of the action. Very responsive owners. Recommend.

Overall the home worked well for my group of friends. We spent most of our time out, so it was basically just a place for us to catch up on some sleep and eat breakfast. The home is a short drive to Midtown, Broadway, etc. It is even walkable if you want. The kitchen is very thinly appointed. It had just enough pots and pans, two coffee machines, but no oil or seasonings other than salt and pepper. In my experience, most VRBO homes will have some seasonings, oil, etc. in the kitchen, but this didn't. The kitchen is a bit of a funky layout, but we made it work.The fridge needed its filter replaced while we were there and the property management offered to come out while we were there, but we didn't want to worry about having to be there. We were asked to take a picture of the filter for them.The start button on the dryer was broken and hanging by the cord out the back of the dryer. You could still push it and get it to run, but the knob was busted off. The shower on the main floor was very slow to drain - I stood in over an inch of shower water each day.The TV in the main room was a bit glitchy - not sure if that was the TV or the Internet. The internet worked well for us while we were there.The beds were comfortable, the A/C worked well, and there was enough seating. The upstairs patio is small, but has seating for about 8 people. There is a good sized dining room, though we didn't ever use it. The rooms are spaced nicely so everyone had some privacy.

Nice but could have been better

Overall, the property is very nice. Two items needed work, however, which detracted from our visit. First, the garage door opener/keypad was inoperable. Someone hit it on a previous stay and it had not been fixed. Because of this, someone had to let us out of the garage, then walk around the complex to get in the car. Very annoying. Second, the front porch light was burned out, which is a major safety issue. If these two things weren't an issue, our rating would be a five.

Great Group Lodging

Our group of ten stayed for a long weekend birthday celebration. The house was just right! Had just what we needed for our stay when our goals were visiting, sightseeing, and night life!

Need new cleaning crew!

The upstairs room with record player had sand in the bed. The room with bunk bed had black hair all in it. The main bedroom had cautioned stain on it. As we took the sheets off we found a sock! Wasn’t our sock. Bathroom downstairs had snot burgers on the wall. Several. We feel the house needed a good baseboard cleaning. The one bathroom counter had spots where a drinking cup had sat. It was “70” birthday party with my daughter and daughters in law. All agreeded it need a GOOD CLEANING!!!!

Family trip for Celebration of Life

The property was clean and comfortable. My family enjoyed our stay and the location was convenient to shopping, restaurants, and the airport. Our family definitely enjoyed the nice treat of cookies!

Close to downtown and great for a group

Perfect floor plan for 9 adults. Easy and close drive to downtown and music row. Property manager was very organized and helped make the experience easy. Bonus - they also sent us free cookies as a welcome gift from Tiff’s Treats (awesome!)

Perfect Weekemd

We really enjoyed our stay at the property! We celebrated our upcoming 50th birthdays and it was a performance fit for our group! Everything was exactly like the pictures so we knew exactly what we were getting! The communication with the owner was prompt and easy from the moment we booked!! The best surprise was receiving a txt shortly after we arrived… from a local cookie company… the owners had hot cookies delivered!! I highly recommend The Slater.

Cute, Clean, great location

Myself and 4 coworkers stayed here and we all loved it! It is decorated so cute and we had no problems at all! Isabeau was very quick to respond and the check in through the garage and the house was so easy. It truly was decorated so cute and we have no negative feedback at all! There are 3 levels with bedrooms on each, so lots of steps for people that may not be able handle that. We would definitely stay here again if needed! It is a short drive to Broadway and you can walk to 12 South. Thank you for letting stay and we hope to see you next time!

Location between gulch and 12 south

We were able to walk to coffee both mornings. It was a 15 minute walk each way, but the weather was nice. The area is full of investment VRBO properties. This house was very clean and coffee pods provided. Plenty of space and we enjoyed the deck. The window treatments are cheap and do not block light. They need to invest in non-decorative curtains that actually cover the windows.
