Check in was simple and staff were friendly. Shuttle from airport was convenient and easy to navigate. Hotel was quiet, and room was large for japanese standards. The bed was extremely firm, which was not great for me, but the pillows were nice. Very old hotel building, and it does smell of decades of indoor cigarette smoking. However, for the price, and for a short stay to rest on a long layover it was reasonable.

Narita Gateway Hotel was a pleasant stay, and check‑in was quick. I would likely choose this hotel again when visiting Japan. The shuttle service to and from Narita Airport is very convenient, only about a seven‑minute drive. Cons: The hotel is a bit dated, but it works well for a one‑night stay before an early flight. Pros: The rooms are comfortable and similar to U.S. hotels, with beds on the firmer side. The hotel offers thoughtful touches like amenities, robes, and slippers. The best feature is the free shuttle to both Narita Airport and Aeon Mall.

All good. Just slightly dirty. By slightly I mean if it was in America is would be considered absolutely spotless. But by Japanese standards it was not as clean as it could be.

The room was old, dated, and unbearable. The carpet was old, need to remove or change it… the comforter was non cotton, rayon fabric where u do not want to sit on the bed. The only perk in the room was the shower head in the bathroom. Great water pressure. Well… you get what you paid for
