We spent Thanksgiving here with our family and appreciated having plenty of space to spread out. The beds were cozy, the towels plentiful, and the home had a welcoming feel that made gathering together easy.That said, a few areas could use attention to make future stays smoother. The stove’s pilot light wasn’t working, which made Thanksgiving cooking impossible, and the suggested alternative (buying a countertop oven from Walmart) wasn’t feasible since the store was closed. The outdoor grill had ignition issues and was dirty, and the fire pit also required manual lighting. The water never got truly hot, and the house wasn’t stocked with basics we’ve come to expect in rentals—we had to purchase toilet paper, and there were only four wine glasses in a four‑bedroom home located in the middle of wine country, which felt odd given how inexpensive these items are.Additionally, there was no user manual or property notes, which are standard in most rentals. Even simple tasks like turning on the outside lights required guesswork.None of these issues were deal‑breakers, but they did add some inconveniences. With a bit more preparation and upkeep, this property could really shine. Overall, we enjoyed our time and see great potential here once those details are addressed by the owners.
