Disappointed.... MISERABLY HOT room

Pros: NOTHING!!!
Cons: Better room temperature and for windows to open more for a better chance of comfort to sleep!
Location: Nothing close to this hotel we got on the train every day to go do any sight seeing about which was about 20 miles away from the hotel.
Hotel room was miserably HOT windows would only lean inward about 5 inches. Ask the front desk about A/C just to find out that they don't have A/C or fans! Ask the cleaning crew to leave the window open only to come back hours later to find the window was shut leaving the room hot once again! We would REOPEN the window then leave the room again to give time for the room to cool off as much as possible. The temperature in Munich was warm for this time of year being in the high 40's to low 60's. I would NEVER stay at Holiday Inn Central again and nor will recommend to anyone to stay there! I honestly feel I should be refunded my money since my family and I never slept good the whole time in Germany due to the bad temperature in the room. We were not the only ones disgusted the the room temperature!!! Anyone looking at Holiday Inn Central don't waste your money!

other than the great location this hotel is below par for the cost, especially when you add in the cost for parking.

Very clean and great staff

Pros: Free breakfast
Cons: No free Internet
This hotel had plus and minus both. Pros were that the staff was very helpful and the hotel itself was very clean and the location was good for walking into town, and also the excellent breakfast available. Cons were that it had no gym and no free wifi for guests. They did have a business center, but not being able to connect to wifi in our room without paying was frustrating and going without a gym for me for almost 6days was not good. Also, the room I had only had two twin sized beds and I was under the impression we were booked with a queen or at least two doubles. had to push the beds together and hope you didnt fall in the crack.

What a surprise!

Pros: Close restaurants, train station, stores below hotel, free internet on lobby computer
Cons: No free Internet
We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It was convenient from the airport (take the SBahn to Rosenheimerplatz go right when you get off the train and take Hochstrasse exit). There is a grocery store HIT right below the hotel along with turkey food, asian, bakery, skate shop, dry cleaners, asian markets, pharmacy and other businessnes. Make sure when you come & go on the train you remember what side exits to what streets. We went the wrong way when we first got there and I didn't see signs for the hotel because we went up the wrong way. The hotel is super clean and we had a Jr. Suite so the room was a good size. The "sofa bed" was not a pull out more like a day bed so great for the kid. There is a big desk, hot water pot, mini bar (don't open or you'll get charged), a tv in the bedroom and in the living room. Bathroom was nice with a tub/shower head and another shower. We just got back so the highs were in the low 60's/high 50's and the A/C will shut off at 8:00 each night to save electricity. We were on the 2nd floor with a view of the top of some part of the hotel which was fine since we weren't in the room much. There is no wireless in the hotel just a plug in at the desk which costs $ but there is 1 computer in the lobby that has internet and it's free. Our cell phone wasn't setup correctly by Verizon so we had no way of communication so I am glad we had free internet in the lobby. The bar is expensive but is hopping at night. The bartender was really nice and chatty. The front desk ladies were nice except for a couple of them but they weren't rude just not super friendly. No biggie. There is a great restraunt around the corner of the main entrance and a bunch of others like an Italian restaurant a couple blocks away. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

A great start to our visit to Munich.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Quiet
We were able to check in early. The room that we had requested was not yet available so they gave us several other options from which to choose. We selected a handicap room which ended up being larger than a regular room. Everything was clean and comfortable. Instead of sheets and blankets they had separate comforters on each side of the bed. This took some getting used to. The breakfast was included in the room price. They offered a large number of items for breakfast and could get omelots made to order. We stayed in several hotels during our trip and this hotel was the best. They may have had free Internet but I think I had problems getting a good connection from our room. We were also able to access restaurants and shops in an underground tunnel and get to the S-Bahn without going outside.

Was a wonderful hotel...just wish it was a bit closer to the town center

My sons and I had a great trip.Since we were not on a guided tour we made our own plans.Ithought since the hotel said city center that we would be in the center but we needed to take a taxi to the city center which became a little expensive. But all the resturants we ate at were wonderful. The tours we signed up for were great...Overall a wonderful trip.....

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: No free Internet
I would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone. The room was spotless, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was on the pricey side (15 euro if I remember correctly--not a good buy if you're not a big breakfast eater), but it had a big selection. Also, the hotel didn't have free internet, but I personally didn't need it very often so it wasn't a big deal to me.

Great Experience

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
I stayed here with some friends of mine in Februrary 2011. The staff was totally amazing. They helped us with just about everything we needed. Plus the location is perfect. Very short walk (all covered areas) to food, super markets, and the underground train. I would stay here again and I hope I get to.
