Stunning 3 bedroom with hot tub

This chalet offers in the main living area a master king bedroom, 1.5 baths and plenty of living space. There two external bedrooms with queen beds and full baths. Access to those bedrooms will be limited to each additional 2 persons. Access to all 3 bedrooms would require listing 5 guests. (These two bedrooms are separate from living quarters and has private entry on side of chalet) Be sure you enter the correct number of guests to have access to the additional bedrooms. There is a hot tub on the deck for relaxing after a long day of hiking. The cabin is pet friendly with a 2 pet maximum. PLEASE NOTE THAT CHECK IN IS AT OUR OFFICE AND DIRECTIONS WILL BE SENT WITH YOUR CONFIRMATION.

Nasty Unit.

The cabin I had first reserved for my wife’s 50tj surprise Birthday, friends arrived first to find out the unit was full of mold, the stinch was horrible, the hot tub water smelled like a pond, the chairs out back were moldy and not clean the inside was disgusting the towels had stand on them, this property need to be updated in all areas the, company did put us at the bottom of the hill in a beautiful cabin that was only 3 months old. After getting the the weekend went well.

Bait and switch

I rented a lovely cabin with three full bathrooms for myself and two friends. Instead we were told that cabin had been damaged and we were being upgraded. This was not an upgrade! Our cabin had one tiny full bathroom. The shower door wouldn’t close, so it flooded the floor when we did try to shower. The hot tub had very little water in it and was not level. There were no dressers or shelves to put our things. The remote for the tv was not there. Overall it was not what I paid for at all. Being told it was an upgrade was complete fiction. When I told the rental company it was not an upgrade he said it was better than staying in the damaged one. I feel we deserve a partial refund or some sort of compensation.

Read carefully

The description is important for this property, as 2/3 bedrooms can only be accessed from outside entrances.We did not catch this detail until arrival. This was not a good fit for our family, as we had two young children. however the company’s customer service was wonderful and understanding. They were quick to accommodate and relocated us to a perfect cabin for our needs.

Quirky little place

This was a decent property to stay at. We were unaware it used to be a bed-and-breakfast, so two of the three bedrooms were not included in the main area of the property. They had separate keys, and separate bathrooms. There was also an extra charge for each of these bedrooms. It’s advertised as a three bedroom property, but that’s only if you pay the extra to have the outside bedrooms unlocked. The property is a little dated and could use some deep cleaning in a few spots. But overall, it was very clean. The heat/air unit in the main living area of the property controls this in the two outside rooms as well. There is only one television & that’s in the main living room of the property - it is very small. Also, we had zero Internet at this property. There is a small outdoor fire pit type grill at the end of the driveway in the yard & two very small charcoal grills on the deck. The hot tub was nice and functioned properly. Overall, it was a nice stay. We spent our days hiking and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

There was no wi-fi even though advertised. The hot tub was not usable because the warmest we could get it was 87* F. The kitchen was well appointed with the exception of needing a working can opener and a microwave. It was fairly clean until you looked in the corners and rafters where there was an abundance of large cob webs.The location was great for all the hiking we did. The directions to the cabin sent by VRBO were spot on but we had to go to the manager’s office to get a key and their emails went to “junk” so there was some confusion there. So far, I have gotten an invoice from VRBO and from Natural Bridge Cabin rentals for two different amounts. We will see how that turns out.

Such a let down

So displeased its dirty, it stinks, it's damp and the best for last 2 DIRTY wash clothes in the shower. I was looking forward to enjoying a family weekend, I just wanted to go home and take a bath. I hope they address who ever is taking care of your home, because they are not doing there job very well! Such a let down.

Location is great, communication was great, house needs major updates, the deck needs a lot of work, hot tub was clean (coming from a hot tub owner), didn’t sleep in the bedroom due to smell, etc. The other bedrooms do not have direct access to the main section of the house.

Lovely cabin great for families

The cabin was perfect for a place to come back to after hiking all day! The kids loved climbing the hill behind it and the novelty of a new place, and the parents enjoyed the coziness. The company was great to work with.

This would be really cute if they made it look like the pictures. It doesn’t sleep 6 if you have younger kids that can’t sleep in there own cabin, so my 7 yr old had to sleep in the King with us. Do not go here with older dogs that can’t do stairs because it’s impossible unless you can carry them every time up the mountain side. The deck is rotten you can see where other people fell through. The mold is all over the ceilings. The side rooms (extra cabins for the other beds..) are so moldy and reek of mold so bad it’s not safe. The main area also smells horrible and only 3 windows open. Spider webs have curtains attached to the wall. We only used it to crash for a few hours every night and we had my son and older dog stay with family in a different cabin.

Outdated cabin in much need of repair. Deck is pretty much not usable and unsafe. Cabin is very dark

Would not recommend this property. Nasty dishes, pots and pans are disgusting and unusable. Coffee maker leaks and should be thrown away. Looked under couch for a playing card we dropped to find old food and garbage. No dish soap or garbage bags. Air vents are all filthy.In the second bedroom the hairdryer and outlet did not work and the shower handle is broken. This place needs serious attention and should not be rented. It was so bad I took pictures of all the above mentioned. Totally disappointed ☹️

Company is a joke

Booked a 3 night stay for 6 adults and 2 dogs. At check in, Leslie spent 10 minutes complaining about people who bring pets with them knowing I had 2 labradors with me. After getting keys to Himes Hideaway we proceeded to the cabin. The road was not in good shape, but that is not on them. Himes Hideaway is up the side of the mountain and you must climb stairs to get to it (this was in the listing). The doors were COVERED in spider webs as if the spider was cocooning it to save for dinner. The interior doors only opened about 12 inches because the floors were so warped. I could barely squeeze into the laundry room. The air conditioner did not work. After getting everything moved into the cabin, I took my dogs out and FELL THROUGH THE DECK. The support beams under the deck were deteriorated and pulling away from the frame. After calling the office the relocated us to Kentucky Sunshine. We moved all our stuff out of the first cabin into the new one. Kentucky Sunshine was cute, but smaller and did not have the same amenities. The deck was sturdy though and not 20 feet in the air. We stayed there one night but the next day the manager, mike, and Leslie from the office came to Kentucky Sunshine to tell us we had to move because they booked the cabin for the weekend. Not happy about being moved to a third cabin we were given the number for the owner of the company. When I called the owner of the company he said our only options were to move to the DOUBLE WIDE they had available or pack up and leave and they would refund me for the night we didn't use... In the end the owner told me he was walking the beach in Florida and I was interupting him as he "shouldn't have to deal with this". Since we planned for a 3 night stay in a CABIN and not a double wide (which was not "in the vicinity") we opted to check out after the second night and leave. Disgusting cabin, fell through the deck, double booked, terrible management.

Don’t waste your money

I want to start off by saying this property is really cool and has an awesome set up. It has 2 bedrooms on the side of the cabin with bathrooms. Unfortunately, this cabin was filthy. It is outdated which isn’t a problem for us. It was just not clean. We booked for 2 nights and only stayed one because we were unhappy with how dirty it was. First we were given a key to one of the bedrooms that had no sheet on the bed and a bunch animal/insect debris on the pillows. It clearly wasn’t cleaned. We went back down to the office and told them what we saw and they gave us a second key to the other bedroom. It appeared to be cleaner. I think the only thing clean in the cabin was the sheets. The windows look as if they haven’t been wasted in years. The floors were visibly dirty. there was chunks of dirt on the main shower floor. The cabin smells like mildew. The appliances are super old and it took several hours to get cold. The deck has not been swept off in forever. The hot seemed okay on the inside. I’m okay staying in a outdated cabin but I expect for it to be cleaned.

Worst cabin we have stayed in

Needs a ton more TLC….Ants all in kitchen, Leaky roof, doors wouldn’t close, main light inside not working, moldy smell, shower handle not attached, toilet paper holder hanging off wall, and sand in hot tub. Lawn service came while we were trying to have dinner outside. The roads were terrible and they started maintenance when we were trying to leave at checkout time. You will need to bring shampoo/conditioner & hot mitt The staff at check were super informative and personable. We know it was not their fault they Cabin is so rundown.

It was not very clean, spiders were everywhere inside the cabin, the hot tub had so much trash and debris in it that we never even used it. The hot tub would turn on by itself and we couldnt get it to turn off. We left a whole day early.

Safety hazard, not a family place

First off, the railing to the deck is very flimsy and in need of serious repair. Young children and clumsy adults should be careful! Second, the first secluded bedroom has a roof leak and white mold on the ceilings. We couldn't even open the second bedroom. Neither bedrooms are attached to the main part of the house making another family safety issue. One of the chairs at the table was completely broken and fell apart when pulled out. We told the property managers and the exact response was "We are aware. We've been so busy! Have a safe trip home". Just get rid of the chair... We found cockroaches, lots of cobwebs, and many of the lamps and light fixtures either aren't working, broken, or had busted bulbs. Curtain rods and toilet paper holders falling out of the walls. The shower head and handle are ready to come out of the wall in the master bedroom bathroom. The road coming up to the cabin is very pitted and sunken in. We were lucky to drive our truck and not a car. This property is in need of serious repairs and some tlc.
