What a unique place and a great value. For a low price, you get your own private house with a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, balcony overlooking the beautiful property, and breakfast brought to your cabin for a reasonable price. Staff are very friendly. We enjoyed conversations with Roy who was very informative and helpful, while we waited for the two monkeys that show up in the morning for their daily banana. Kira the resident dog tagged along on our walks around the property. Short drive from the lush property into town.

OMG the breakfast. So good. Local jams and honey and everything. And the house! So big, my goodness, and so clean and functional. Such nice bathrooms! Kinda a lot of critters in the place, but you don't go touristing in the jungle to avoid critters. A really nice hike on the grounds too, and the complementary family dog to accompany on hikes and show you to your cabaña was awesome.

The property is breathtaking. The cabins are cute and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. But what made our stay 5 star was the kind staff and owner who helped us with a small issue like we cant find our phone to a bigger issue related to our car. I would recommend this place to everyone and would definitely stay here every time come to costa rica.

Beautiful small plantation 1km from small main area of Monteverde. Roy so helpful with ideas by WhatsApp. Beautiful cabin with loft, efficient little kitchen with induction, hot plate, microwave, fridge, big family table, so quiet and has trails to elevated platform to watch the gorgeous sunset! Be sure to do the plantation walk to see many plants growing, including sugarcane, pineapple, Limes, oranges, and more. Cute dog and two cats on property to play with. It’s possible to see monkeys sometimes. Monteverde is so cute and so beautiful! Also recommend the Don Juan coffee tour! We didn’t try the breakfast, but there is a choice of three good looking large portion options for $10 USD delivered to the cabin. Many things on the menu were grown on the farm. Monte Verde/Saint Elena has a huge awesome grocery store so you can get whatever you need to make cost-effective meals.

What a fantastic piece of property. Roy was there upon our arrival to greet us and check us in. We stayed in the family cabin and went to watch the sunset from the viewpoint several nights. 20-minute walk into town which was super convenient. Really enjoyed the farm to table concept, had great homegrown plantains, honeys and jams for breakfast. Would highly recommend

The family cabin we stayed in was perfect for us and had more than enough space for the five of us. The grounds themselves are beautifully landscaped. The staff is very friendly, informative, and helpful. Thank you Roy! We had a wonderful stay. The optional breakfast was delicious and nicely presented. The kitchen was well-stocked, which we took advantage of by cooking our own meals. Reliable hot water in the showers was a definite plus. There are some nice, short little trails on the property with beautiful flowers and foliage. The infamous three-wattled bell bird was making it's loud calls in the morning, but I wasn't able to spot it. I should have brought binoculars! The location is private, yet very close to town in Santa Elena, which has nice restaurants and shops. Easy access to all of the nature hikes, hanging bridges, etc. We enjoyed our stay.

The host Roy was so helpful and nice. The Family cabin was clean and had lots of beds. The standard cabin was smaller but nice as well. Do be aware that in some of the cabins the only bathroom is on the 2nd floor, up a steep stairs. This was fine for younger folks but was difficult for my older parents. We loved the grounds and trails, we saw so many birds, butterflies, and pretty flowers. It was a quite and safe area and a very good price.

Upon our arrival, we were immediately impressed by the property's beauty and felt right at home in our cabin. Hotel de Cabañas Valle Campanas was a nice rustic place. The cabins were spread out nicely, with big private yards. We had breakfast brought to us each morning, freshly cooked and delivered by the family, to enjoy in our front yard with a very nice table. We had a balcony off our room with a sitting area and hammock hook up. There was a small walking trail and a trail to walk for the sunset. There was no a/c but we were very comfortable at all times of the day in March. Roy was the best! He was informative, friendly, professional, and one of the best host I’ve ever met. Before my trip, Roy provided me information for another area that had nothing to do with my stay with them. My husband and I enjoyed our visit and highly recommend Hotel de Cabañas Valle Campanas. This family is wonderful.

Our family of 6 loved our stay at Hotel de Cabañas Valle Campanas. We stayed in the two story family cabin. Check-in was very informative and we were led directly to our cabin. The cabin had plenty of space. The grounds were quite beautiful. Our kids loved the dog. We drove a large SUV which made backing out of the parking space at our cabin a bit tricky. Another option for us would have been to park at main reception, a two minute walk away. We ordered the breakfast each morning which was fantastic, and a great start to our day. An added bonus that it was brought to our cabin. On our last evening, we walked to the lookout point to watch the sunset over the valley below, a truly unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel.
