We had the best week at Sunset Over Seas! Our group ranged from 6-90 years old and everyone was able to enjoy their stay. The views and easy access to the beach cannot be beat. We brought several chairs and umbrellas but that isnt necessary with their fully stocked beach closet (extremely nice chairs!) that also has many sand toys and crab nets. This rental includes 2 chairs and an umbrella set up by beach service right in front of the house as well. Its a very short walk to the community pool, plus several stores and restaurants. Beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a big dinner for the family. Management quickly responded to all questions. The only negative we found was that there is only one bathroom on the 1st floor meaning kids in the bunkroom have to go into the bedroom at night when they need to use the bathroom. This wasnt a big deal for us but could be an issue for some families. We will definitely be looking to stay at this house in the future.

Perfect

This home was perfect! I brought a group of college students on a university sponsored community service trip, abd this was the perfect house! After volunteering each day, we could all relax at the beach. There is a great coffee shop and Dairy Queen withinwalking distance.

Family Stay

The location was perfect. The beach was never crowded and we were within walking distance to several restaurants. The host was super helpful and accommodating during and before our stay. We’ll definitely look to book again in the future!

Beautiful Location

Great house for a family! 4 king beds and a bunk room with 6 queen beds! Steps down to the beach and plenty of provided beach chairs! Very nice!

Great location/plane at the beach.

Everything was as posted in the listing. The 3 level townhouse ( lots of stairs) offered so much space and had 10 beds! The balconies were the best place to be to see the beautiful colors of the gulf. The house came was the perfect place for my birthday celebration. We would definitely go back to this home.

A bit misleading

This property was a bit cramped for space. The pictures were misleading. The pool was not a pool, but a small hot up without jets. We had issues with the refrigerator, and the upstairs AC was not working. Some sliding doors do not work - remedy was not to use them! Overall, the house seemed very old for the price.

Disappointed

We were very excited to spend a week at this home with our family. Unfortunately, when we arrived the fridge did not work & there were AC & plumbing issues. We followed all the instructions given to us by the property company, but nothing fixed the problems. We spent the first 4 days on the phone constantly with the property management company with no resolution. Not what I was wanting to do on my vacation. We were told several times things would be addressed & they never were. Finally, after 4 days the head manager Danielle was made aware of our situation and got things fixed for us. We had to eat out the first 4 nights with 14 people, no place to put our leftovers & go to the grocery store every day as we had limited cooler space. Overall, we were very disappointed. The amount of money we spent to have to deal with so many problems & if we were not so persistent, we would have not had a resolution at all. We were given a 15% refund which basically was a night paid. I will add the home was very beautiful & the location was amazing.

Annual Beach vacation

We love Destin and keep coming back! The beach is beautiful every time. We thought the house was clean and in good condition. The location was great although all the townhomes are squeezed in and not much room to park or even try to get in and out with such a busy street. Once you get past that it’s great. House looks bigger in the pictures. We had a great group and that helps with sharing bathrooms and enjoying dinners. Previous houses were more roomy but again location on beach was excellent.

Great family vacation

We had a wonderful vacation in this beautiful house. The bedrooms were great. The beach was beautiful! However, the street/area was so crowded. Backing out was a challenge any time we got ready to leave. I also wish there was another access from the house to the beach instead of through the downstairs bedroom or going out the front door. Having another half or 3/4 bath downstairs for the bunk room would be great . Also, an ice machine would be super nice since it is so hard to get out of the driveway to go pick up ice at the store. Love that there is an elevator, just wish guests were allowed to use it. For two 60+ grandparents, 3 flights of stairs were tough, especially carrying luggage, groceries, laundry to the 3rd floor, etc. We almost made it all week without an accident but as we were carrying our luggage down from the top floors, my husband fell down the 2nd flight of stairs and hurt his ankle. Overall, this house is good for a family vacation. With a few tweaks, it could be perfect!

Great beach access!!

This was the closest we stayed to the beach. It made the walk so easy and was perfect for the little ones! It was great place to stay for our family, giving each group a different floor. I would've liked more comfortable patio furniture, beds, and stronger water pressure- but it still was a wonderful stay and will probably book again for next year. Location can't be beat and outweighs any potential cons over and over again.

Destin Beach House

Great place, amazing location with plenty of space for a large group. Wish I could have stayed there longer! Provided amenities are fairly basic so bring anything you might want with you (beach towels, sunscreen, etc). Lovely stay, would definitely come back.

Family Spring Break 2023

There were 10 of us in our group. 3 couples and 4 teens. Great location right on the Beach. Love the Ocean views from every floor. Kitchen was well stocked with over sized pots for making our seafood boil. They also have a crockpot, electric skillet, and blender. These items are not listed but good to know before your stay. If you plan to use the oven, Bring your own hot pads as we did because they do not have any. Plenty of cabinet space to store your food items. Bunk room on ground level does NOT have its own bathroom. Bathroom on this level is located in other bedroom. Just something to know. There is a hairdryer in bathroom that is also not listed. We didn’t need them but I saw multiple pack n plays and a table baby seat. Beach items to use include chairs and boogie boards. Our only complaints were upon arrival on Saturday, both of the outdoor garbage cans were over packed with trash! Our guess is previous guests may have not taken garbage out to the road on Monday and Thursday trash days. Also the dip pool on balcony had a lot of sand in it. Our guess is the pool was used by previous guests to wash feet off even though there is an outdoor shower to rinse off. There is a small electric grill but it was NOT clean when we arrived. Good thing we didn’t need it. Parking is very TIGHT here if parking side by side. We had only 2 cars with our group. It would NOT be fun to have 4 cars with this property.

Family weekend

Everyone in our group of 11 thought the house was perfect for our family weekend. The bunk bed area was perfect for the kids. Loved that each floor had balcony access. Check in/check out was a breeze!
