Even a separate den/bedroom that can be used for a quiet hangout or kids space.

Close to Afton, Stillwater, Hastings, and Hudson, WI, all riverfront downtowns with great shopping and dining. 30 minutes to the Twin Cities!

Great place for downhill skiing, hiking, biking, cross country skiing, and snow shoeing. All located in the scenic St. Croix River Valley.

Beautiful all 4 seasons of the year. Plenty of parking onsite if you trailer a boat. Public boat launch within 5 miles. The Fall is apple orchard time in Denmark Township, 4 fantastic orchards within 7 miles. Some of the best fall colors anywhere. Walk to Afton State Park or just a few miles to Saint Croix Bluffs Regional Park and the Carpenter Nature Center.

Communication with the host was easy through the VRBO message system. The house was very nicely decorated and felt "homey" from the start. It made for a very nice "ski base" for my kids and I visiting Afton Alps. Woyld definitely stay here again and also recommend it to others.

Terrific place to stay for skiing at Afton Alps! Our family of five spent three nights here and skied a couple days. Lots of space, very clean and comfortable, and so close to the slopes. Highly recommend.

The house was very warm and inviting providing everything we needed. We all agreed this rental was the BEST rental we’ve ever had. Plenty of room for us all allowing for plenty of privacy as well. It truly was home away from home for our group. Amy was very accommodating and available to answer all questions. The beds were super comfortable. First time in years I woke up without a backache. We all enjoyed it so much and felt refreshed. Hoping to come back next year and do it again. We will plan our trip around the availability of this rental. It was perfect for us.

Early spring stay

No skiing this trip as early spring thaw closed Afton Alps. Family agrees that the spacious well equipped home would be great for skiing another time. We liked the proximity to Stillwater, Hudson & Hastings. Check out Selma’s in Afton for the best Ice cream.

Right next to Afton Alps

Great location if you plan to ski. The living areas are bigger than they look in the photos. Lots of room to gather or play games. I give our host five stars. We visited at the end of the ski season and she sent us a message that the resort would be closed on the last day of our stay. We were thankful not to find that out at the last minute.

Ski week

We stayed at this property last year. It is an outstanding property and has a well appointed kitchen and other nice amenities.The host is very responsive to communications, and ensures the property is exactly as depicted in the listing. There is an attached garage that guests are allowed to use. The ski area is just across the road. The town of Hudson is a shshodt drive and has some good restaurants and bars. We had such a good week last year we booked again this year and it was every bit as good. Planning for next year already.

Amazing Ski Weekend!

We have stayed at this property several years in a row and it never ceases to amaze us how perfect it is. The house has a great layout for larger families and the decor is just SO cozy! I swear I sleep better here than any where else and to arrive and be treated with everything you need for a spaghetti dinner…it’s awesome. All of that and my family can just walk across the street to ski. We will be back next year! Thanks for everything.
