Our room wasn’t ready for an hour after CHECKIN. Shower was mouldy. Construction works going on in the lift all night which we were not notified of. Stairs up to room that we were not notified of - we had a double pram.

Ok could be better

Have stayed with many oaks over the years. Unfortunately, this one could use a little improvement. Good location and the hotel was mostly fine. Just a few small things that the customer service needs to address. 1 parking. The price on hotels/ Expedia states $30 overnight. The office charged at the hotel $45 per night. The front desk said the website isn't updated. This was disappointing as the price would've been cheaper if I booked through the app earlier when I tried to explain the customer service didn't want to hear about it. Just creates a distaste at the get go, a simple sorry we'll get that updated and here is a free coffee or acknowledgement would benefit. 2. Small things.. there was only 4 UHT milks (those small ones where you need at least 2 for a coffee) and 2 instant coffee packets. There were 2 adults staying 3 nights. We only drink 1 coffee per day (not enough for an instant coffee for our stay), when we asked room service for an additional one it was an issue. We had to go to front desk and ask. When we did, there was reluctance (I thought there would at least be enough for 1 coffee per day for your purchase stay). 3. The soap/body wash was completely empty upon arrival (shows room not serviced correctly). We asked for this to be topped up, thankfully there was no push back on this.

Comfortable stay, great location.

Comfortable stay with large lounge in 2 bed apt. Lovely reception staff and check in and throughout stay. Bathroom could have been cleaner (lots of hair left in shower, hence 4 stars for cleanliness). Phone call to query parking the day prior was laughable. They couldn't find my booking, and then was told I didn't say my name "right". (They didn't ask me to spell it, simple name, and native English speaker here [Aus accent]). Phone etiquette definitely needs a huge improvement for this non-native speaker of English. Other than that encounter, lovely stay and would recommend and stay again.

My stay at Oaks was exactly what we were looking for in terms of easy access to transport and proximity to the CBD and south bank. Only detracted by breakfast which was Luke warm at best.

This is a great place to stay. We've stayed here on many occasions. It is walking distance from Southern Cross Station (for travelling with Skybus from the airport). There are many convenient trams to get us to around. The service is wonderful and friendly, taking delivery of a birthday cake for us. We will be staying here again.

Staff Manager at Oak & Vine needs to take a PR lesson, her attitude left a lot to be desired. The body wash dispenser in the shower was empty when we arrived, and the soap holder kept falling off the wall. Our stay at this establishment is normally excellent, so we hope that this experience was an exception.

We really enjoyed our stay at Oaks Melbourne on Market - the view was spectacular, it was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is central to walk everywhere and we will definitely stay there again.

Loved the location of the property. Close to a lot of metro lines, trams, waterfront, etc. The hotel hotel staff were excellent. One thing to be aware of is that the check out is at 10am! Terrible for international travelers.

The property itself is fine, we had a beautiful view from our room which was really nice, just a little disappointed in the service from the front desk staff. The fire alarm went off so we couldn’t go back to our room. Front of house was telling us it was fine whilst people were evacuating, rather than being helpful they just laughed. We missed our dinner reservation as we weren’t able to get into our room to get ready. Just thought front of house staff would have handle the situation a bit better and been a bit more helpful.

Was a pleasure to be back, staff here are the best from reception to cleaning staff. Left hotel and realised i had left clothes behind. A big thanks to cleaning staff for sending my property to lost items. If there is any problem here it’s the windows for City view rooms. It’s well overdue they were cleaned externally.
