Summary:
Experience a one-of-a-kind escape in this charming 1920's rustic cabin. The moment you step inside, you'll feel like you've been transported back in time. This cozy cabin offers all the comforts of home, with its comfortable furniture, clean and fresh linens, and fully stocked kitchen. And just a short drive away from the famous Blue Ridge Parkway, it's the perfect base for all your mountain adventures.
The Space:
What sets this cabin apart is its unique character and history. The creaky wood floors and original lead glass windows bring an old-world charm to the space. You can gather around the large stone fireplace in the living room or relax on the wraparound porch with a picturesque view of the historic Cockram Mill pond. Fun fact: this pond was once circled by the Dan River Queen.
Every detail has been carefully considered to ensure your stay is nothing short of perfect. The floors and wood walls are original, giving this home a truly authentic feel. And with new appliances, dishes, and fluffy towels, you'll have all the modern comforts you need. The fully stocked kitchen has service for eight and the dining room table can comfortably seat six to eight guests.
Guest Access:
You'll have the cabin all to yourself.
The Neighborhood:
Rural area with woods to explore, pond to swim and fish and a porch to relax.
Other Things to Note:
Verizon has decent cell service, but AT&T DOES NOT.
Also, our local internet provider, Century Link, can sometimes be finicky. If that happens, we can send a link to help reset it. WE HATE IT, but it's all that is available in our area.
Interaction with Guests:
We have security cameras outside that are in use to monitor wildlife and visitors in the area to our pond. We will give you full privacy and will be just a phone call away if you need us.
