Its a Small boutique hotel, right in the heart of the Caveoso Sasi from Matera. You fell like in a movie. They give us an a gourgeous room inside the cavern. Absolutly spectacular. The parking is 10 min car and there is a shuttle. The cost EU 40. Very good room Nice breakfast. You should go !

Style and Comfort in Matera

We loved our stay in PIANELLE Resort. The location was terrific and the hotel was beautifully designed with a great attention to detail and comfort. The staff were friendly and very professional. At one point we needed a prescription filled and one of the staff went personally to the pharmacy and returned with the medication.

Very comfortable modern hotel in great location close to all the attractions. I had a message from reception the week before explaining me all the details and parking options. Really appreciate it as Matera is pedestrian city. The room was very comfortable and spacious. We has a standard , but there were enough place for everything. Hotel has only 17 rooms , so it very quiet and personal. Great selection with local producers or cheese and yogurts on the breakfast. It was delicious! Thank you for our lovely stay ! We would like to come back.

Best hotel experience ever!

We LOVED our stay here. The hotel was beautiful and the staff were amazing. The room was extremely comfortable and spacious, and the shower...no words! We enjoyed the bar and the breakfast was really great. The location was also excellent, I will defintely go back and recommend it to friends!

We fell in love with this hotel. Our cave room was so unique and special. The staff were lovely. The room was spacious. The breakfast was good. The location couldn’t have been better. This was the best sleep that I think I have ever had!

One of our favorite cities and hotels on our Italian vacation. The cave room is beautiful, clean and quiet with modern details. The shower is awesome and heated towel bars were a plus. Breakfast is very nice and they have a bar that opens in the evenings at 5. All is very convenient to walking the sasso. They will arrange for a cab upon arrival or departure if you're taking a bus or train, so reach out as the walk from the main city piazza is far with luggage. Great restaurants nearby.

We had the most incredible stay at Pianelle Resort. It was nothing short of magical.. Matera is a very special and unique place and Pianelle Resort made it even more extraordinary in every way -from the lovingly preserved, stylishly beautiful and thoughtfully contemporary hotel design and architecture to outstanding hotel staffs, namely Saverio, Christian, Rocco, Linda and another breakfast staff whose name slipped my mind. They are most hospitable, knowledgeable, patient, warm, thoughtful and helpful during our stay. The beautiful and thoughtfully designed Pianelle Resort and its amazing staffs makes for a destination in itself.

Matera is a very nice town. Pianelli has great location and great rooms. The rooms are well furnished and have cave style. This is second stay in Pianelli in 2vyears.

Wonderful retreat for relaxation

Beautiful hotel! Loved the all the people that worked there. Very friendly and helpful with all of our questions. With our luck it was raining the nights we were there. But the hotel has an excellent restaurant. We enjoyed our meals. Everyone was so welcoming, it felt we were at some one’s home. It’s the best place to relax. Great location.
