My wife, two sons and daughter--in-law stayed here for one week in early February. While the hotel itself is a little dated compared to the newer hotels in Mexico, the location and the staff are the best I have experienced anywhere. When it was newer, Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones was married there. Although it is a little dated, the staff do an excellent job of maintaining it. The staff was wonderful. Everyone was welcoming, helpful and efficient. If I had more space to acknowledge specifics about individuals such as: Mar, Omar, Adi, Ameyuli and Jeffite(sp). In real estate, they say, "Location, Location, Location!" This resort probably has the best location in Cabo. Most of the rooms face the Pacific Ocean and the three pools. The morning breakfast buffet is at the Don Diego restaurant that overlooks the marina and the entire city. It is an amazing view. The entertainment is also done here as well as the Cupcake Cafe for extra desserts. Several restaurants and bars are located at this ridge top location. So, you have the best of everything with this hotel's views of the ocean, the marina, the dolphin experience pool, and the entire city. Furthermore, it is a quick walk to get to the marina where most of the city’s restaurants and bars are located. If you want a really good Italian dinner, go see Mario at The Kitchen by Nowhere Bar (it will make sense when you get there). I should add that the food in the hotel restaurants was very good. I was never disappointed.

The resort was in terrible condition. The day we arrived the water coming out of the faucet and the shower was black. Later that night water was turned off completely. The next day water came back on and it was black again for the next 24 hours. Water was then turned off again and this happened for our first three full days. Whenever you would ask the front desk, they would say we are working on it. I had two separate rooms and one of them when the water came back on the toilet flooded the bathroom, the hallway and the closet. This was the worst stay I have ever had at an Expedia resort booking.

We recently stayed at this resort and overall it was clean and well maintained, which we appreciated. The rooms and common areas were kept tidy, and the staff did a good job with cleanliness throughout the property. However, there were several things that were disappointing. The food was not very good and lacked variety and flavor. It definitely didn’t meet expectations for a resort experience. We were also surprised to learn that you had to be a member to access better drink options, which didn’t feel fair for regular guests. That was frustrating. The pool was cold most of the day, which made it hard to fully enjoy, especially when relaxing poolside is a big part of a resort stay. The entertainment was okay, but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, it was an average experience. Clean property, but several areas could definitely use improvement.

As Expedia VIPs, we were upgraded to a huge suite (Rm 1715) and received a welcome bottle of wine, chocolates and a $25 spa credit. Our concierge, Elan was great and we received excellent service from all of the staff. Everyone was very friendly, the resort was beautifully maintained and we enjoyed the food, the entertainment, and the location (literally built into the mountainside). We saw tons of whale and even a sea lion swimming along the shoreline.

Let’s start with the not so good. It took over an hour from the time we got to the hotel to get checked in and shown to our room. We did notice as we finally got checked in that we got a different colored wristband than everyone in front of us but the person checking us in did not make any mention of this. We finally get checked in and then we have someone come over and ask us if we are interested in attending one of their Elite Status 90 minute presentations. We explained that we were only there for a few days and were not interested. Like a used car salesman this did NOT deter him at all and persisted to hound us about going to a presentation. They did offer some good incentives go, but like I stated we were not interested. My personal opinion on this is they should send an email out with n advance to see if people are interested rather than trying to pressure them to go upon arrival. Finally after this I step into the bar where I see my favorite drink Jameson and was told that I need to purchase a premium drink package upgrade which I was never offered at check-in and at this point was not going to purchase so loss to the resort. Next get to the room. The room I had chosen in the photo was apparently the updated suite, not the same room I got but the room was very nice. I did leave a review on Expedia about the check-in process a couple of days later when I checked my email and am happy to report they sent an assistant manager up to speak to me shortly after.

This hotel has a great location and a friendly and efficient staff. The public areas are in fairly good condition, but the rooms need a major refresh. Drains don’t drain sliding doors don’t slide and everything looks a little shabby. This is a great property and I hope they fix it up.

The staff was wonderful! Jafet always had great energy. The pools were great and we got to see whales as well. The only downside was some of the food wasn’t the best but that seems to be a recurring thing for all inclusive resorts. The sushi was very good though! I would definitely stay here again.
