Overall experience was great. Location of resort is fantastic. I was not super happy with cleanliness of the room or that palm trees covered the view of the beach. Went for New Year’s Eve and staff made a big deal about doing bottle service (extra charges) for private party and was disappointed with that as well. However I would return to the resort and I’ve it a second try.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sandos and will more than likely book there again. My complaint is that I booked 3 Jr Suites and the rooms were not as expected. I inquired at the front desk and a supervisor promised me she would accommodate at least one of our rooms in the next couple of days. She also told me that they would upgrade my mattress before noon on that day. When I never heard from her or any staff, I went to front desk to speak to the supervisor and after the attendant spoke with her behind closed doors he told me that she said she was working on my situation and she would talk to me in 10 minutes. I never heard from her or anyone else for the rest of our trip which was 7 more days. We adapted and had a really nice time. I cannot do anything about the maid service now, but would like to help out future guests...our maid took a snack cake package from the night stand and several Mexican coins fro the top drawer of the night stand. She also helped herself to $74 that was in my purse, as well. I chalked it up and hope she had a Merry Christmas with the extras I provided.

Loved the pools and swim up bar. Food was great too, many options to pick from. And if you have a sweet tooth they have the cutest cupcake cafe. Get yourself a variety of coffees and teas and don’t forget a cupcake. They have all kinds of cupcakes, cookies and brownies. The staff was amazing, Fernando kept care of us. My drink was always bottomless. Speaking of drinks, you can order any drink you can think of from a pina colada to a Bahama mama and anything in between. And if you are creative go ahead and tell them what kind of drink you want. They will make it!!! We had the ocean view room and it was breathtaking. I recommend walking on the beach for sunrise.

Overall the resort itself is situated in a beautiful location but that’s all that’s good other then the lattes at the cupcake place. The food and entertainment is mediocre, I am comparing it to ClubMed resorts where I have found the food choices to be top notch and also the entertainment. While we were there (the first week of August) the yoga classes and the bonfire white party were cancelled due to rain and not rescheduled. Now these are not the worst part if you can believe it. The worst part was that a storm came and our room got flooded!! (Overnight) We had our 6 year old son with us so we were thankful that he didn’t wake up in the middle of the night to go bathroom and slip!! This is poor management as they didn’t warn us that thier rooms are prone to flooding- anyhow half a day later and from much insistance from us they changed our room (from 3rd floor to 5th floor) which are slightly better rooms. The next night when we walked into our room is was full of insects that looked like small worms, and no one came to clean them. In addition to all of this, if you tip then you get service otherwise prepare yourself to wait for drinks etc. best restaurant there that had edible food was Agave but I would advise to not spend your money at this resort, it’s very mediocre with bad management and service. I have a video of the flooding but will not let me upload here. Also take bug spray with you if you do end up choosing this resort as the flies are plenty.

Dear guest, First of all, we want to deeply apologize for the inconveniences you suffered due to the storm that crossed the region during your recent stay. The amount of rain we had was not usual for Cabo, causing in some rooms an excess of water on the balcony that affected the floor inside the room. The ants and flying insects that come after the rain were immediately controlled by the technician of the extern pest control company the day after the rain stopped. Due to the bad weather indeed we had to cancel the white party on Wednesday which is a complete outdoor event. Once again we are really sorry that your stay was affected by weather conditions not common for Cabo San Lucas but please let us assist you during your next stay to make it a memorable one in Sandos. Do not get your hopes high for a fulfilling, peaceful, or unique holiday here. Be prepared to feel like cattle- whether it is with their checking in/out process, food service/options, or general guest services. The hotel left much to be desired. It felt like an extension of being herded like on airline flights. The food was at best mediocre, but sometimes was actually inedible. The cocktails & coffee were watered down, the service was very slow, and variety was lacking. The best part of the stay: the exceptional hotel workers. The (particularly non-management) men & women you encountered throughout the resort had a work ethic and attitude I’ve never seen anywhere else. They seemed genuine and delightful. Sadly, seeing this made me regret staying at this resort simple because it made me feel like I was in “mini America”, and I would have preferred to go into true Mexico and experience reality. So, if you want to drink heavily (reminder: you’ll probably need 3 vodka rocks to equal 1 true cocktail), eat mediocre to nasty carb-heavy pre-manufactured food, and be herded like cattle, but feel perfectly safe and have minimum to relative comfort, Sandos will be fine for you.

As you say correctly our team members have an excellent attitude and a perfect team spirit to make every day and every guest a special one and that is what we from management to every worker in our resort teach and be an example of having the success we have. We apologize if you experienced inconveniences with food and drinks. The drinks are measured as you could see, as in every bar, but if our guests ask double alcohol we are happy to serve them what they request. The heat and ice cubes may have an effect of watering down the drinks but we serve good alcohol and do not use any water in cocktails or drinks. Our market indeed is 85% of American visitors but we are proud to say that are worker are 99% Mexicans. Once again thank you for your personal feedback. Kindest regards,

Great resort, perfect location

I absolutely loved this hotel. It was a beautiful resort, the people were so friendly and the location was GREAT! Literally right across the street from the marina, shops and just a moments walk to downtown. I thought the food was wonderful, just don't expect fast service at the sitdown restaurants. Service wasn't bad, it's just there was no sense of rushing, which could be a nice way to wind down after a long day at the pool or beach. Carlos, from the steakhouse was FABULOUS! I would definitely go back and stay at this resort again!

The staff was excellent from check in to leaving. They were very helpful with calling and helping to make sure activities and pickups were coming on time. The rooms were very clean. Only problem was that our room did not have a door in the shower area, shut off from the rest of the hotel room so that was inconvenient. We could have asked for another room we were told. We had 2 double beds and included our son in our room, so there should have been a private area. We loved the activities available for our son. The pools were very clean and they had 2 areas, one for families and one for those over 21. Views were great. They provided a safe for your valuables at no extra charge and we appreciated that. The all inclusive was good. Food excellent, organization of dining areas and staffing were a little less than optimum.
