Nothing deluxe about our deluxe double room 411. Poor layout, no space around the bed which was against exterior wall. Top of the wardrobe covered in heavy dust. Hot water control erratic in shower scalding hot or cold. Fridge in room didn't chill drinks in 2 days. Bar was never open, no facilities better to add some vending machines. Staff were friendly. Would never return, felt hotel description was very misleading - Nothing Grand!

The location was good, close to Paddington Station and lot of small restaurants and stores. But the hotel room was very small. The entry way to the room and elevator had an old place odor. a/c did not work. It was hot although it was nice and cool outside. They did not clean the room the second day because we had not pushed the person button, which we did not know. We thought they will clean my default.

I arrived at the hotel to be told I was being put in a different hotel, which was a £15 cab ride away. I had no email to warn me about this. The hotel I went to was shabby and in a totally different location to where I needed to be. In the morning my room had no electricity so couldn’t dry my hair. Also the manual lock on my door didn’t work. Worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. I have had no financial compensation despite the receptionist at the first hotel taking my email and promising to contact me with details of this.

We were in the room downstairs. This made getting in and out of the room during breakfast hours difficult. Very small room but also clean with a comfortable bed.

The staff were pleasant but I have to say the room they put in left something to be desired. I was okay that the one window didn't have a view but the single pane window meant that I could hear the generators on a near by roof all night long. Also the heating in the room often LEFT via that single pain of glass. Fix that and it would be okay that I had a tiny little room.
