There were issues with NO running water in this hotel which they should have disclosed to customers. It was time consuming moving rooms to find running water.

The hotel is old and in urgent need of a complete renovation. Cleaning services were poor, I found long black hairs in the bathtub when I checked in, and I’m bald. I informed reception and they had it cleaned. Thereafter I found hair in the bathroom sink, as well as toothpaste after the room had been cleaned. The rooms are cold, with no option to adjust the temperature. The fire alarm went off twice one day, at 4 a.m. and again around 7 am for a few seconds. The king size bed was actually two twin beds pushed together, with one slightly higher than the other making the bed uncomfortable.

The main issue was the failure of the water supply (hot and cold) on the morning of Saturday 17th. This was the day of the wedding we had travelled to London to attend, and this was a crisis. A hotel that cannot supplies toilets, showers and sinks to customers that work, have not supplied a hotel service. This happened around 9 am in our room, and led to an embarrassing situation there and then when our loo did not flush. Itself very bad. But we understand that this can happen even in a hotel. Our complaint is that when we reported this multiple times during the morning, reception and other staff just told us that "we will send the maintenance team". Around 11 am I had had enough, and I asked to get the use of another room. This resulted in a security person letting us into room 306, but we did not get a key card, and that person said "one of you will have to remain in the room at a time to let in the other". This after we have paid close to 200 GBP per night and we need to get ready with all our clothes and toiletries. We had repeated experiences of new aspects of this problem and all except one manager (whose name I did not write down) ACKNOWLEDGED or CARED about our problem at all. I had to come up with the solutions. The same seems true after the wedding when the fire alarm rang at 4 am and then again at 8:30 am, ruining our sleep, and the instant explanation we were given was that was caused by the earlier water failure. The issue was partially resolved rather late

I would never recon this hotel to anyone,it’s really old back dated small horrible bed rooms not even clean showers don’t work freezing cold water,it’s an absolute joke at 24 weeks pregnant worst stay I ever had a 2 hour journey to get to such a battered hotel horrific please do not book waste of time & money had the worst weekend ever

Enjoyable stay in good location. The property is in much need of modernization - a lack of plug sockets in the room and nothing by the bed was a major problem. Shower in bath. Beds super comfy. Good value for the area. Would stay again.

The room had an odd temperature dial, but the bed was comfy. When we arrived there was a welcome on the tv which called me Mr Faden. I had also filled in something prior to stay, as was asked to, if i had special requests and so i asked for oat milk which wasnt provided. The room is big enough and most od the staff were nice.
