Premium character hotel in central London with superb value to cost. Spent a week here whilst attending a technology conference. Hotel is nicely furnished and the breakfast to order was great. Lovely staff who were genuinely nice and friendly. You could feel that it’s a naturally nice place to work. I’m normally used to paying 250/night for central London, but Indigo really makes the case to stretch that to 350 for such a huge gain in comfort and style.

We loved our stay here, the room was large for London with high ceilings, a lovely view, and a comfy bed. The location is top-notch, steps to Earl's Court tube station and loads of shops and cafes (the Blackbird pub on the corner was wonderful) but off the noisy main street. We did have one hiccup where the hotel lost water for a couple of hours one morning, which delayed our plans, but the staff were nice about it and everything else too.

I am giving this hotel 2 starts because of the few positive things like very location, cute lobby and good breakfast. As for the rest, run! We were first given room 615, which contrary to what it sounds, it's actually half underground. The humidity and mold in the air were unbearable. We requested the room to be changed and were told there is only one other available, on the last floor, but that is a premium room and 30/pounds per night were requested. If we are not willing to pay, they offered to spray some perfume in the room... I asked for a refund instead, which was not accepted. We were there presented 2 more rooms, still underground, about which the manager said "they don't smell that much". I got in contact with Expedia to ask them for the refund, but I was told they need hotel approval for that, which again they denied. So we ended up not being able to sleep in the room upstairs because of a very noisy elevator/technical room. Furthermore, the water supply was down for more than an hour, leaving the entire hotel unable to use the toilets. The stuff had the worst attitude I've ever experienced. We left after 3 nights annoyed and with a skin rash. Spend your money wisely and avoid this location!

After a poor start with the hotel giving us basement rooms with only a small sky-light the staff rectified the matter and we received lovely rooms on the first floor. This hotel has always been our favourite place to stay in London and we have in the past always had a great time. The location is so convenient to the tube at Earl's Court, restaurants and shops.

Brilliant hotel. Almost feels like a 5 star! For the high standard and location of the hotel, it is well worth the price! Staff were very helpful, Room was very clean, massive bathroom and a decent breakfast. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kensington.

Rip Off Hotel Indigo London at Kensington

When we checked in the air conditioning did not work in the hotel. We informed the manager that we would check out the next morning because the AC did not work and there was a summer heat wave. We asked to speak to the manager who was no where to be found for 2 days. We checked out and 2 days later they charged us for 2 nights even though we spent only 1 night at the hotel. No concern, no caring, no hospitality and terrible customer service. Rip off hotel!

The room was quaint-very typical "British" feeling-small for 2 but sufficient since we weren't in the room but to sleep. The bathroom was ok...the shower was not ideal. The handheld shower head mount was coming off the wall--and you couldn't take a shower without water getting on the floor outside the shower. It was nice that it had both an overhead and handheld shower heads, though! Breakfast was only ok, but that's probably more a personal preference. If purchased ahead of time there is a significant savings. It includes a nice continental breakfast combined with ordering off the "hot menu". The coffee was good-espresso, cappuccino, or just coffee is included unless you order a la carte. The location is very close to the Earl's Court Underground station which can take you to just about anywhere in London you want to go. Hotel is also only a mile or so from the "museum district" so very walkable which was nice. Several places to eat between the hotel and the Underground-fast food and sit down. Amanda at the front desk was delightful! She helped make our stay a pleasure and was very helpful with directions, etc.!
