About this property

Homesteaded log cabin with convenient creek access

This is a truly unique, beautifully restored log cabin that's over 100 years old. Stepping inside feels like traveling back in time. This serene retreat offers private access to Libby Creek, making it an ideal getaway. Imagine gazing at snow-capped mountains year-round right outside your window. You're surrounded by nature, with the National Forest right behind the cabin. Enjoy watching deer graze from your porch and listening to the soothing sounds of the creek. The cabin is just 10 miles from the town of Libby and minutes away from an Amish community with a coffee shop, a restaurant perfect for lunch, and a large grocery store. And after a day of adventure, what could be better than a jump into a crystal-clear creek nearby and building a campfire with driftwood?
The cabin is perfect for a group or a family with kids. However, please note that access to the loft bedroom is via a ladder, which might be tricky and is not recommended for people with physical disabilities. There is an option to bring a mattress down if needed.

You'll find endless opportunities to spend your week here. Hike through the remote Cabinet Mountains Wilderness, with well-maintained trails leading to pristine lakes where you can swim, fish, or camp. There are hundreds of miles of gravel roads perfect for mountain biking and many nearby rivers for floating, kayaking, or simply finding a shady spot to relax. We also have numerous lakes for watersports. Don't miss attractions like Ross Creek Cedars with its giant trees, Kootenai Falls, and Libby Dam.
