Castillo de la abuelita, construido en 1912, es una casa rural ubicada aproximadamente a cinco millas al oeste de Lewisburg, KY. Este encantador refugio está ubicado a media milla de la autopista 106 / Spa Road y ofrece a los huéspedes una escapada escénica que recuerda a un momento más simple.

Esta antigua casa de labranza, cariñosamente llamado Castillo de la abuela, tiene un lugar especial en la historia de nuestra familia. En 2007, debido a problemas de salud, la abuela ya no era capaz de vivir sola en su lugar de origen amada. Un día, varios años después, nuestra nieta de dos años, Emma, ​​notando la vieja casa al final de la carretera se le preguntó, "¿Es que la casa de la abuela?" Le dijimos que sí, aunque la abuela ya no vivía allí, la casa era de hecho suya ... Emma respondió con dulzura: "Esa no es la casa de la abuela, es el castillo de la abuela".

En 2014, la abuela falleció a la edad de 92. En honor a la memoria de la abuela, decidimos restaurar la granja para que nuestra familia pueda seguir disfrutando de mi casa de la infancia durante muchos años por venir. JUST WHAT THE DR ORDERED!!!!

This place was exactly what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. The owner was very informative and friendly. The farming farm was PERFECT.. Absolutley the best and most relaxing family vacay ever!!! We loved to be able to fish just feet from the house and the pod has some nice ones in it..The history behind granny’s castle is wonderful.. tastefully decorated from better years.. thank you so much for sharing this piece of paradise with our family.. we will be back ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Absolutely gorgeous and homey

The house was fantastic! My only issues were the microwave I couldn’t get to work, the heater in my room wouldn’t come on, and there was only one TV upstairs and no internet that I know of. Luckily I didn’t need much internet and was able to use my phone. But the owner was nice and the house and history of it warms your heart! Very peaceful! A little mixup about the check out time but he was gracious enough to be accommodating at my mistake. Overall I will DEFINITELY be back!

Perfect, Quiet getaway

My husband and I rented this beautiful old farm house from Rodney, whose family built it many years ago. We so enjoyed the rich history and charming decor along with Rodney's stories of his childhood in the home. We looked around at the framed photographs of his family and marveled at the detail in the home, built so many years ago. It truly was a special place and we would love to visit again soon! Rodney was very accommodating for us and our dog, Gracie.

Peaceful and nostalgic

Granny's Castle sits out in the county close, but away from town. It had a nice long drive to make your stay private with a large yard so the kids could run after a long drive. We were welcomed by Rodney when we arrived and he gave me the keys and tour and instructions for our stay. Granny's Castle was full of family photos and had a very nostalgic feel to it. Honestly it filled a void that I've been missing for years since losing my own grandmother. It felt just like being at Grandma's. Even if it was an over night stay as we were passing through, it was just what we needed to complete our busy week on vacation. Checkout was a breeze and we absolutely loved everything about this place. Thank you Rodney for everything and we would love to come back some day.

Peace and quiet

The farmhouse was so nice and we enjoyed our time there. Being from the area, this house was a great reminder of growing up in the area and how peaceful this place is. Sitting on the porch, drinking coffee in the mornings was our favorite part of staying here. Our daughters who love history found the house so interesting and have asked to come back. We hope to stay again some day.

Peaceful and Charming!

This was the perfect getaway. We loved the peace and serenity. Beautiful views, beautiful countryside. We couldn't have enjoyed it more. It was so wonderful to see the family history preserved in this historic home and such a blessing that they are sharing it with others.
