Great Getaway

This place was perfect for what we needed. Great location just a couple miles out of town. Great deck, grill and hot tub. The property was really nice and plenty of room for us.

Perfect Place!

2nd stay, perfect with 3 master bedrooms and 3 full baths. Close to Deadwood, hot tub is perfect ending to a full day!

Beautiful Cabin

We have stayed in a few places in this area and I have to say this one is at the top of the list. It had everything we needed and more than I expected. My family will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay at the Heart of Gold!

Super comfortable, with all the amenities anyone can ask for. Loved the hot tub... used it every night while we gazed at the stars....

Heart of Gold Gilded Mountain

Perfect location and size for our family with six adults and two kids. Very clean, cozy, and the property managers were helpful and attentive. We would absolutely stay here again.

Great place, and conveniently located

Offered the group easy access to deadwood via affordable cabs. Lots of stairs to help keep you in shape!

Beautiful......

All the cabins are completely stunning inside and out. and the weedy flowers outside match the cabin look. The cabins are a little pricey, but if several couples/adults stay, it is well worth it.

Black Hills vacation 2021

I would highly recommend this property! The pictures online did not do it justice! It was absolutely beautiful and clean, perfect location to enjoy the hills and trails! I will definitely look for this cabin again, should we go back in the future!

Beautiful Home

We had a wonderful thanksgiving holiday weekend at this cabin! It’s the perfect setup with 3 master suites so everyone has their own space! Hot tub was very clean and a frequently used amenity! The clubhouse nearby was also a fun hangout! We have stayed at Gilded Mountain in the past and will be back again!

Great cabin with lots of space!

We really enjoyed the cabin and the neighborhood. The cabin was spacious and has TWO sets of washer/dryers, what a surprise. The on-suite bathrooms are nice and the twin trundle bed is a great addition to one of the bedrooms. All the finishes in the cabin are beautiful. Thanks for a great weekend!

Awesome Stay

Heart of Gold cabin did not disappoint. The cabin had everything we needed for a group of 6. The decks were wonderful in the evening, and the location was great. We watched deer and turkeys from the deck. The hot tub was clean and worked well for relaxing at night. Beds were comfortable, and we had lots of space. We would definitely recommend to others.

Gorgeous

This property met all our needs. We had 10 people in our group ranging from 12-72 years old. It was beautiful! Hot tub was an added bonus while the kids enjoyed the pool. The house was very clean and comfortable. Has everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The views were perfect and even had some wild life come and visit. I would definitely stay here again!

Great Cabin Great Location

Very nice, no problems. Had everything we needed and location was great. Cabin was better than I expected. Laundry upstairs and down. Large dining tables inside and out. Gas stove. Nice grill and hot tub. So much to see in the area but Nice to spend some time just relaxing.

Great Vacation!

Despite arriving during a snowstorm, we had a wonderful time. This home had plenty of room for our party of 6 adults. The kitchen had everything we needed for meal preparation. The home is very comfortable. This location is great for traveling to the Badlands, Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore, Devil’s Tower as well as Deadwood, Sturgis and surrounding towns. There is always something to do or see. Deadwood Connections staff are wonderful to work with and very responsive. We would stay here again should we find ourselves traveling this way.

A golden find!

This house was truly a golden find for my whole family. The home was very clean and roomy. Loved the games for the kids on the lower level and a very nice hot tub as well that actually worked amazing unlike some of the other places we have stayed. All beds were comfy and being all kings was a huge plus! We all love the upper deck to sit and enjoy the wonderful scenery in the evening. My only negative would be the club house pool and steam room was very dirty and is in need of a very deep clean. We chose to only utilize the pool one time because of that. Would highly recommend this home for your South Dakota adventure!

Perfect place for 3 couples traveling together.

Great layout for 3 couples. We each had our own master suite. And plenty of room in this house to gather in a group. Location was close to several restaurants, and town was close by. We didn't find time to use the pool or community room but that was a very short walk from the house. We highly recommend this house. All the furnishings and linens were in good condition. We spent 3 nights. While there, we visited Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Spearfish Canyon. We spent a day in Deadwood, had lunch and took a tour. Later that evening we went back for dinner. Deadwood is close by. The little Lead, SD visitor center had a very interesting little museum and a great view. Worth stopping by. Great location, great house. After we left Lead, we stopped at Devil's Tower as we made our way west to other locations.

Extremely Disappointing

This was not worth the money at all. Photos looked good online but the cleanliness and upkeep of the property was terrible. There were feases stains in the toilets, missing window blinds including in the main living area, curtains in lower floor fell off when we opened them, showers were gritty, bbq was disgusting and a fire hazard with grease stains all over so we were not able to use and more importantly, I had checked with the property manager that the boy tub was operational which it was but there was a layer of grit in the bottom of the tub which felt like sandpaper on your butt when you sat in it. We complained and the property manager said it was fine and not harmful or we could walk up in the mud to the clubhouse and use that. When you spend 300 a night for a private house with hot tub then you expect high standards but this was anything but. The property managers were rude and not accommodating so we will not be back or renting from this company ever again. Worst rental we’ve ever had!!!

Great location. Just a 10 minute drive ti Deadwood and within an hour of everything the Black Hills has to offer. Our kids enjoyed the community center across the road. Comfortable beds & furniture. Kitchen stocked with everything you’d ever need. Closets had fans and extra bedding if needed. Hot tub was warm & clean.

Excellent multi-generational family stay

We had an excellent stay with our family in June! The home was in great condition. We enjoyed grilling out and eating on the large covered deck with a view. The kids loved the shared pool in the development. The location is perfect with quick access to Lead and Deadwood but also secluded outside of town. We would definitely stay again when we come back to the northern Black Hills.

Black Hills Experience

Everything was perfect. First time in the area and definitely not the last. This was our first time going west instead of south for spring break and this place exceeded our expectations in every way.
