The room had a foul smell to it but we figured that since we would only be there for sleeping, we could deal with it. The staff were okay just that we felt that unless you were a foreigner (caucasian) they would have treated us with respect and equality. The food was not as good as Viva Cabarete and the drinks were also watered down. Worst thing that happened that our 3rd day there I became sick with a stomach bug- was in bed all day with shivers and my whole body hurt. Then my husband got it in the evening. One thing that could improve is the place settings in the dining area should be replaced immediately so that guests don’t have to look around and ask staff for utensils and napkins or even a glass of wine. We have been booking resort rooms for over 25 years and I see that the service has not been the same.

The check in staff was phenomenal. The only incident was in the morning when a gentleman by the name of Felipe approached us to talk to us about the club. We’ve been in many resorts and are not interested in this at this time. Have had very bad experiences with this timeshare/club sessions. The gentleman became very defensive when my husband said he was not interest. He got a bit rude and said he was only doing his job and was helping us with restaurant reservations. After the very uncomfortable situation, we and to the lobby only to find that we already had reservations made. So found out he was lying. We came here to relax and unwind from all the stress and did not appreciate the abrupt approach. Another gentlemen started talking to us about all his family issues and that his child was in the hospital and his parents had just been killed. As sad as his story was, we were looking for a relaxing place. Food was great but it was always the same every day. I had called room service 5 minutes after 11pm to order a cheeseburger that I had waited to order all day and the person very rudely said they could not make it. The room, staff and amenities were excellent!!

Terrible hotel, it needs an update. Starting with the towels, they feel like sandpaper, dingy, and the lunch was deplorable. It's a disgrace to the Winham chain. The excellent staff tries to compensate for the hotel's shortcomings. We stayed for a birthday in a villa, but I'll never stay here again if I return to Las Terrenas.

The resort was inviting from the start. Reception was polite and prompt. The gave us information that would prove later in our stay to be a guide to enjoy many elements and activities on the resort. Friendly staff throughout. Modern, clean, and spacious rooms. Endless food & drink for all. Fantastic beach and pool. My wife and i are all ready planning a return trip.

Room was fair. Three bath towels only, no hand towels or wash cloths. No shampoo. Only one toilet paper role. Half of staff was pleasant and helpful, others not so much. Food was ok. Not much overall flavor. No servers to take our drink orders. However Beds were comfortable. Not a 5 Star resort. I will try other locations in the future.
