A great stay in a small town motel
This a lovely old small town motel, because of terrible weather, we were the only customers. The room was clean and warm, and the price was right. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Lansing.

The staff worked very quickly on issues at the motel. There were safety issues at this property which include power stips on 2 outlets that included on refrigerator/coffe pot and tv/wifi. The heator quit on the morning of our deparure,it was on,but wouldn't work. The staff used text messages to contact us,but we needed to call to contact them in a timely manner!

It was unique, because you didn't go to an office to get a key, they send you a text with a code to get your key out of a box right by your door. We didn't see any staff to talk to, it was convenient, but we would rather get the key from an office with someone to hand it to us, I guess we are old fashioned. Read different reviews, not sure what to expect, it was an older motel, it seemed clean and plenty of towels for us, they had soap and shampoo, there was a fridge and microwave. Only two small complaints, the room freshener was extremely strong, a good smell, but way too much and one of the shades was missing the bottom part, so it didn't cover the whole window. It was a cute room and we would stay there again if we were passing through.
