The room was clean and nice and I just told my husband I loved the breakfast options and another top notch thing was that they had a wonderful set up for Navy sailor families to watch the graduation ceremony in a private room. It was wonderful! Thanks Sonesta ES Suites Waukegan for making our stay memorable!

Loved every part of my stay. Staff was very hospitable and friendly. Every interaction with staff was always so positive. Rooms are so clean, and kitchen was amazing. The surroundings are beautiful, great for a morning stroll. Breakfast was amazing too. Just HIGHLY recommend.

I recently stayed at the Sonesta Hotel (1440 S White Oak Dr, Waukegan, IL) and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. While the property itself appeared clean at first glance, the condition of the room and furnishings was unacceptable. Upon entering, I immediately noticed: Old and outdated furniture A bed that was not properly made And most concerning, roaches in the bathroom area, which I captured on video As someone who traveled to celebrate an important milestone—my son’s Navy graduation—this was not only disheartening but also stressful. I had hoped for a peaceful and clean environment but instead had to leave the room due to its poor condition and sleep in my car while trying to find alternate accommodations. Given the circumstances, I would not recommend this location unless major improvements are made to cleanliness, pest control, and room quality. I have requested a full refund and hope that management takes this matter seriously so no one else has to go through this during such an important time.
This is after I start spray lysol and bleach to attend to properly clean the room. I hate I left to soon because the coached looked like boldly fluids was all over it.
Didn't bother to pull the sheets back as after I noticed the roach I recorded and left the room.

Absolutely disgusting room, blood or something stained bed, bugs! Front desk staff rude! Couldn’t stay there with how gross and we were there for navy bootcamp graduation and liberty weekend. They wouldn’t refund money and I has to scramble to find any available room in area since it’s grad weekend which cost me $500 more than planned

my family and I we stay there for three nights. Everything was good and the staff were very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel the area is nice and a lot stores are near so you just can walk to the stores. They allow pets so is very convenient to bring them with us.

The property was OK. There’s a lot of trash outside and around the building. We left an item there and when we went back to get it, it was gone. We called the staff multiple times and waited for their calls back,. The staff had told us that it wasn’t there once we showed up to get it. Which was concerning. I believe the item was kept by the staff.

Quiet, cozy, welcoming, secluded property with easy access to destinations However, housekeeping could improve- sheets for sofa bed had hairs, and attendant left open gauze packaging on the bedside table. Tissues were running low, but she didn't leave a new box.

Our room was spacious, nice layout with the TV that swivels from the bed to the living area. Plenty of parking. Safe area. Lots of stores/restaurants near by. The only thing we didn't like was not having the option to cast to the TV from our phones. The TV options as far as HBO and Netflix didn't work either.

I was in Waukegan IL for my sons graduation from RTC NAVY Bootcamp and this property was about 8 to 10 min from the ceremony so convenient and quiet the kitchen was a must because my sailor wanted a dish only mom can make and there was adequate pots and utensils for what I needed the kitchen for , will definitely recommend anybody going to RTC Navy graduation should stay here.
