My Motel 6 Review. Smooth it out please: When I arrived, I asked if there was a first floor room. Upon checking, the young lady said yes and that it was the same price as the upstairs room. I was very happy about that. I unloaded the car and brought everything in and then as I looked around, I realized there was no fridge or microwave. I was very surprised about that, but then, I don't normally stay at Motel 6. I called the desk and asked, and was informed I should've known this. How would I know??? I thought every room had both! I asked if I could have the room upstairs that I was supposed to have. I was told yes, but it would cost me an additional $22! How could that be?? In any case I was hung up on by the young woman. About 15 minutes later she called to say her boss said I could have it for the same price. I was already ready for bed, so I said I would deal with it in the. morning. I called around 6:45am and had the room changed. When I arrived upstairs, there was a fridge and micro on top of it. The fridge was plugged in but the micro was not. The reason it wasn't is because the cord didn't reach! I had to move the micro over to the desk under the TV as that was the only plug nearby. The plug didn't work properly and I had to hold it to get the micro to work. At least I had them!
Other issues included no hot water. Shower was tepid. TV did not work. Floor was sticky. Bath mat was stained. Lock on the door was missing a piece. Both ice machines did not work.
