The hotel is very nice and the staff is attentive and nice. The rooms are clean and bright. Everyone on staff greets you as you pass them. If you have any questions they are there to assist. I had a very good stay. The only advice I have is if to make dinner plans ahead of time because some places close early or fill up quickly and you don’t want to scramble to find dinner.

The hotel was absolutely gorgeous. We really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast options were great and taxis were readily available at this hotel. The staff and everyone was incredible.

Breakfast was mediocre and di not had options for cappuccino or latte. Considering the amount I paid for luxury Hollywood room, I was not impressed with the service provided. Breakfast was the same as people that paid for the lowest price room. I expected some fruits or welcome hors d’oeuvres but there was none. No lotion or bath salt/ bubble bath available from the room and when we requested for it only lotion was available.

Rooms were very nice. I especially enjoyed the size of room 611. So spacious! The free refreshment room near the lobby is a nice touch. Although I did not have access on my last three days. Staff is very courteous, particularly the front door staff. 18日間お世話になりました。有り難うございました。

Kyoto Tokyu Hotel is one of my favorite hotels to stay at when in Kyoto. The hotel is beautiful and the service is impeccable. The location is also so convenient to Kyoto Station.

Clean and spacious room. Amenities include coffee machine, pajamas, slippers and WiFi. Staff were helpful and friendly. Free shuttle bus to and from Kyoto station was helpful though can be busy especially the first and last bus. Bus stop to Kiyomizu Dera 5 minutes walk. Would stay here again.

We stayed at Tokyu Hotel in Kyoto and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel was great—very clean, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The food was good and satisfying. Our only observation is about the location: with kids, it’s not ideal since the nearest subway station requires a bit of a walk. That said, taxis were always available, and Kyoto is not a large city, so getting around was still easy. Overall, a very comfortable and convenient stay.

I'm thoroughly impressed with the service I have received at Kyoto Tokyu hotel. I have stayed in other hotels in Japan, but this is one hotel where I felt really welcome, taken care of, and safe as a single woman traveller. The service staff have excellent "omotenashi" skills and are very generous, and I felt very comfortable communicating with them. Although the room was a basic standard room, the faciliites were nothing short of excellent. It was very easy for me to visit the top locations in Kyoto by commuting by bus near the hotel. Most hotels allow for check-in at 3 p.m. and check-out at 10 a.m., but at Tokyu, you can check-in at 2 p.m. and check-out at 11 a.m. I thought this was really great. Overall, it was very much worth every yen I spent on the room. I will definitely stay at this hotel when I return to Kyoto, and will for sure recommend their services to people I know. Thank you very much, Hotel Tokyu! (P.S. I thought it was really cool that they had the option to play the radio in the room, and the lady staff who helped me out in the room was really kind!)

Great room bed were a little bit small but all good at the end. Staff is very friendly and got us a better room when WiFi did not work in our room. Good breakfast. Perfect location with easy access to main bus line to visit main attractions. Very good stay overall.
