Honest review of hotel and area: The hotel itself was fine. The included breakfast were plates that you picked (American, British, Malay, etc) and the quality was fair. There is not a buffet. But.... this is not a good area. The beach is virtually non existent, and what beach there is, is very dirty. There are literally piles of trash along the beach, and under the beach sand itself. The streets in this area are very crowded with hawkers and taxi drivers waiting for fares; the sidewalks are broken everywhere and you must be extremely careful not to fall into holes as you walk. It is hard to imagine that anyone would look forward to walking those streets a serving time. We had booked the hotel for 4 nights, so we just spent time in the pool, which was decent, and ate nearby. All of the hotel staff that we encountered were helpful and sweet. If you want to see beauty in Bali, though, you will not find it in Kuta.

I prefer to stay here at Sulis for the last couple of days in Bali. I am closeo the airport and do a final shop at Discovery mall nearby. The rooms a big and have a lovely balcony to sit outside. My bed was comfortable but Im not a fan of feather and down pillows. Upstairs dining in the evening with the cool breeze was really pleasant. I was delighted to find their hamburgers were more than average - it was delicous.

I’ve stayed at the Sulis 3 times now , a slightly smaller quieter hotel just enough outside of mainstream Kuta. Rooms are clean well appointed has an excellent rooftop pool and great views over Jerman beach, friendly staff , good breakfast and a walk across the road to the beach itself. Walkable into main area of Kuta but far enough out to be in a quieter area

I stay here regularly for my last days in Bali because of location near airport and I do a final shop at Discovery Mall. I find this little hotel friendly and welcoming. The rooms are large with a modern bathroom. The airconditioner is cold when needed and my bed was comfortable.
