By Thai standards the iCheckInn was poor. The staff were more robotic that the usually smiling Thai standard. The room was fine but no water pressure in the shower. The tiled hallways and stairs leading to the room looked like they had not been cleaned/mopped this year

1 Star at 3 Star Price:(

First room smelled of cigar smoke so moved me to 4th floor with no elevator. AC very weak and hot water pressure so bad you have to run around in the shower to get wet. With a little research, I moved to a 4 star hotel for the same price. Motel 6 would be a step up however the front desk staff was nice. Good for a one night transition to a better property. Very surprised at the high TripAdvisor rating which I trusted. Must be the location only.

Good stay for vacation

A good stay for my ten days vaca there. Location's amazing for food, massage, market, traffic, beach &a tourist information. Staffs there are very nice and helpful. My room is not luxurious but comfy and quiet, clean. I enjoyed a lot there.

OK hotel

OK hotel between Ao Nang and Nopparat Thara beaches, about 10 min walk from both. It is located off the main Ao Nang road, on the street that has lots of restaurants, tour operators, massage parlors (200-250 baht for 1 hr Thai massage), a 7/11 and a Family mart and leads to high-end hotels. You need to walk to the beach along the Ao Nang road, but you pass local businesses and the street food market, so the walk is OK. Besides, a little walking on you holiday is only good. Hotel has a modern feel, rooms are clean. No elevator. There was a Wifi but the connection was often poor. Room also had a good AC and a safe. The balcony had a view on the street and to the hotel just across the street. Breakfast was OK - you could order eggs, there was rice or noodles, a vegetable dish, toast, sausages, yogurt and cereals, juice, coffee and fruit. However, eggs are made on a stove just outside the cafe which means that they are standing there in the heat - I got a bad batch which resulted a bad night in the bathroom. There is a long boat ticket office just in the beginning of the street where you can buy tickets to Railay beach etc.

icheckinn a great little place

The property clean and amenities well maintained. The staff were very friendly and eager to help. The pool area is great for cooling off and catching some sun but offered very little shade. Girlfriend loved this but since I burn easily my shade options were limited to the 1 umbrella on the deck. The area is fairly quite even though there is a number of construction sites around as the area is going through a bit of a boom. The one thing that was frustrating was the internet, slow and unstable. But hey it is holiday time and we should be out enjoying the beautiful scenery, it is nice to post pics and vids for the people back home. After all they need something to look at after shovelling snow.

Not bad but not great. Had to move room after bugs on bed from wooden headboard. Building works nearby but not noisy but may be later, so consider this. Safe place and quiet if away from building. Staff nice enough. Tips - eat at hawkers for cheap food at end of road. Breakfast at Black Canyon will cost a little more bit well worth it and nice place. Good choice too. Nice Indian just after here too for dinner. I would stay in this area of Ao Nang if returning but maybe not this hotel. Ps - why do these hotels never clean shower heads, minging and nothing a scrub and some vinegar wouldn't sort out!

Great Location

great location, close to bars and restaurants. Small pool which is perfect as beach is only 5minutes walk. Would recommend a trip to railay beach on the longtail boat available from the bridge at the end of the road

stay for 3 day 2 night at this place decent looking place, breakfast spread was so so not really alot to choose on but the location was fine. about 10 min walk to main street ao nang, do some research of the place before you go could have been better. always ask for discount on the tour, they pretty overcharge on the tour by 200% on the 7 island tour that i have.

This hotel is located down a quiet alley in Aonang (not part of the main drag), 10 min walk to the beach. Breakfast was poor and we had to move rooms after finding FLEAS which had infested the bed. We were horrified. Had it not been for the fleas, we would have rated this hotel 3 out of 5. But we would not recommend it.

Very average hotel. The rooms are ok but biggest flaw is that there is no elevator. We had our room on top floor I.e.4th floor and we had to take our luggage all the way up. If you are traveling with your parents or you have knee problems then it's not recommended at all . Very basic amenities available. No coffee or tea available in the room . Bed is spring bed so not comfortable either. Pool is just a big bathtub ,it's so small. The location of the hotel is good.

Terrible, not like the photos

Terrible experience, on check in a sign was up saying the pool will be closed for the next 5 days, if we knew this before we would not have booked here. When we checked into the room the bed sheets were dirty, the safe was locked and there were broken parts of furniture with nails sticking out of them (a seated area, literally had nails sticking out of it) we have never had to complain at check in before, so we kindly let them know about the safe and asked them to change the bedsheets and left for an hour of so. On returning, they had changed the sheets and the bed was now nice, they dealt with it well, the safe had not been opened or even looked at. The next day we got the maintenance guy ourself and had him fix the safe for us. As the week went on the smell of sewage got worse and worse until the last day when the taps and shower had very dark brown smelly water coming from them, the actual sink tap was spraying dark brown smelly water, kept spraying out in bursts. They said this was being worked on and when we return later it will be fixed, so we went on with out day without washing. On returning in the evening, the water seemed to be fixed (although it was enough to put you off going anywhere near the water there) I jumped in the shower and after two minuted the water stopped, the sink went brown again, it was terrible, husband ran down to reception and they let us into another room to shower and use the sink. Unsuprisingly, we were very relieved to check out!

Comfortable accommodation in good location.

Pity the pool was not in use as this would have completed our stay in Aonang. Hotel was fine, clean with adequate breakfast. Personally would rather have stayed in Railey as Aonang quite busy with average beach. Great staff.
