This place provides a beautiful private beach to enjoy, and the dive shop is great for booking tours. At first glance, the property looks beautiful, but then a closer look tells you that it is starting to get run down. And the floor in our room looked clean, but we often had blackened feet after walking around on it. That was a bit gross. But the staff were great, and it was a nice getaway. For the price, I’d expect a little bit better upkeep, though.

Please think about this before you stay! The rooms appear clean (the smell of cleaner hit us as soon as we walked in), but they’re not really. My husband, son and I all had runny/stuffy noses, because of something in the room ( we suspected mold). We all cleared up once we left the room the next morning. The beach area was beyond disappointing. There’s prettier places in the Keys with nicer beach areas. The staff and pool were nice, but that was it. The room was nothing to get excited about. The pictures are deceiving.

Upon arrival we tried getting into our room and our keys didn’t work, we went back downstairs across the way back to the lobby for another set of keys, didn’t work. Engineering came out and fixed it. First impressions……Mikalya at the front desk was very sweet and helpful. The property said it was rennovated last year and while the room was more updated, the doors had paint chipping and pealing along with the floor near the shower. The beds were comfortable but were just ok. The restaurant food was good, just very slow to get our food.

Property was beautiful. Nice pool and amenities. Hotel was quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Did not know ahead of time that we would be charged for parking.

Property is very run down and needs a major overhaul. Litter wasn’t picked up in the three days we stayed. We will not be back.

The pool area is very large, clean and nice. The restaurant is amazing and so is the food and service there. Our room (242) is large enough and the beds are fine but the bathroom and the furniture in this room is seriously out dated and of low quality. It has an old 30” tv, with an old black fridge on the floor next to a cheap bureau. There is not one piece of decor in this room. The tile flooring in the entry and bathroom are old and mismatched. There seems to be new flooring and bedding in the main area though which is nice, but it doesn’t make up for the overall feel of the room looking more like a Days Inn than a Marriott. We have only a partial ocean view as it’s greatly obstructed by the back side of a blue building and the restaurant. Very disappointed in the quality of our room. Not at all consistent with other Marriotts we have stayed in that are in this category. We won’t stay here again.
