Welcome to Mermaid's Lookout! This 2-bedroom efficiency home in Hawaiian Paradise Park is perfect for your escape to paradise. With 1 king and 1 split adjustable king, a deep soaking tub with two shower heads, and all the essentials like AC and WiFi, this stunning property offers a cool and pleasant retreat for adult guests. Relax on the pool deck while surrounded by ocean views. Watch for whales and turtles while taking a dip in the solar-heated pool while you enjoy the simple pleasures of island living. The view is Amazing!

This property is available for a discount if you only want the one main/larger room. The second room will be closed off if you choose this option. Please send an inquiry or message to reserve just the one-bedroom, and iving area.

Unwind after a long day of sightseeing in the chairs around the lush Hawaiian pond while enjoying the soothing waterfall sounds and tropical fish.

*Note- the owner lives in a one-bedroom under the property with her two small adorable dogs Zoey and Lilly. Your space is completely separate and has an outside set of stairs up to your private deck and 2 bedroom 1 bath area. Your Privacy is ensured throughout your stay. I would love to recommend restaurants and places to go and see. This is an adult-only property. There is no kitchen- it is an efficiency style- perfect for those who want to experience all the delicious Hawaiian cuisine our island has to offer, with the ability to grill, warm up leftovers, and have coffee and cocktails on your lanai.

I also own a larger Oceanfront property that is just a 10-minute walk from this one. If your party needs more room there is a discount for booking both places. Mermaid's Oasis VRBO # is 892746 and it sleeps 10 with 4 bedrooms and a pool.

There is a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, and a Keurig as well as a BBQ grill. Enjoy your morning coffee on your private lanai while enjoying sunrise and afternoon cocktails on the pool deck while you BBQ.

There are two desks and great internet as well as Youtube TV and two large flat-screen televisions so you don't miss your favorite programs.

Mermaid's Lookout is just 30 minutes from the Hilo airport. Hilo and Pahoa have some outstanding dining options. Kaleos is one of my favorites and has a location in Pahoa and Orchidland just 15 minutes from the house. Pele's Kitchen has large organic breakfasts that are fantastic. In Hilo, I love Pineapples, Cafe Pesto, and Hilo Bay Cafe. There is a farmers market in the charming downtown area of Hilo on Wednesdays and Saturdays and the Makuu Farmer's market on Sunday is not to be missed with great food and shopping. There are many gorgeous waterfalls - Rainbow and Akaka Falls should not be missed. I have taken the chocolate farm and vanilla farm tours and thoroughly enjoyed them and all the interesting information and yummy samples. There is a very cool underground Speakeasy called the Hidden Nene. They have fabulously crafted drinks.

Arguably one of the biggest attractions on our island is the Kilauea Volcano which has been active on and off since December. It is just a 30-minute drive. The restaurant at Volcano House is outstanding and there are some wonderful hikes up there as well.

Beautiful Mermaid cove

The rooms and location are as pictured, very clean with wonderful amenities. My bed was very comfortable and my Sons room had an adjustable bed. The view is beautiful, I enjoyed every sunrise just a few steps outside of my room. The location is outside of the hustle and bustle of town. still close enough

We had the most amazing time staying at Robyn’s place. The location was perfect with a stunning ocean front view. Just down the street is paradise cliffs which has beautiful ocean views and then Makuʻu Point was the perfect spot to watch the sunrise which is also within walking distance. The house was adorable and clean and worked perfectly for our girls trip. The beds were very comfortable and the towels were soft and we had several of them. The pool was nice and being able to swim and look out at the ocean was amazing . Robyn was an amazing host and responded to all my text quickly and was so friendly. I highly recommend staying here at Robyn’s place. You won’t regret it. I hope to be back soon

Warning there is NO kitchen, even though kitchen is listed. It is a microwave wave and a toaster oven with a “grill” on top which is located on a wooden cabinet shelf. No pots or pans for cooking. A rubber spatula is supplied for use with the grill on top of the toaster oven. Again it lists a “kitchen” in bold letters. Later on in the description you read it’s not a full kitchen, but it was misleading for us.The setting at the ocean and the decoration of the room was beautiful.
