It was all very good except my room door was open 4 inches with the lights off inside, when I first arrived to my room (5022) Friday night Found out my card key did not work to unlock the door when I came back from dinner. Night Manager said it would be fixed in the morning. He opened my room door for me with their maintenance key but had no key to give to me. Next morning, I went to breakfast and came back and the card door reader was fixed. It had needed a new battery. Other than that, the stay was great, especially the pool! Thank you! Charles

When I arrived at my room door it was already open about 4 inches and the lights were off. I turned the lights on an no one was there and everything else seemed to be OK I went out for dinner and came back and my door card key would no open the door The Front Desk sent the Night Manager who said the maintenance staff could fix it in the morning He unlocked my door with a Key he could not let me have or borrow. The next morning, I went to breakfast and when I came back the card key reader was fixed It turns out the battery in the room door card key reader was dead Other than that, the rest of the stay was great, including the pool Thank you.

The room was nice but we were surprised the carpet was showing more wear than expected given the hotel was renovated in 2024. They had nice toiletries, good plumbing. Fairly quiet. Free coffee (not the best). Pleasant and helpful staff. The Wi-Fi had to be rebooted in our room. Most of all , we saw a total of 4 little COCKROACHES in our room which I had never seen in two previous visits to the big Island!

Poor cleanliness in the rooms. Housekeeping only came when requested but just touched up and didn’t actually clean anything. Towels had hair on them. Shower wasn’t clean and had an eyelash there even after housekeeping came again. Would not stay here again. Even if this is on the “cheaper” side, it severely lacks

In our first room the mattress was so worn out that I flipped it over. We had to change rooms. TV channels were very limited, maybe ten. The pool was frigid. There was another downside item not coming to mind, but the staff was nice.

Staff were excellent, the room comfortable, the grounds very nice. It was awesome to be able to borrow beach supplies, though local beaches were closed due to dangerous surf. One hiccup was the coffee service on our second morning. There was some trouble getting it brewed and a huge crowd of people were waiting over an hour for any coffee, and then it disappeared immediately. I ended up using a kettle in my room. I should also mention the parking situation is ridiculous. Very limited spaces, and when the lot is full, you have to park across the street for twice as much and then get reimbursed. Parking should be free anyway. We stayed only 2 nights, but all the extra fees added 100$ to our stay. We probably won’t return to Hawaii because it’s become unreasonably expensive to stay anywhere.

The room was clean, the air-conditioner was very noisy but did the job. The carpets in hallways needed cleaning or replaced. Staff was very helpful and kind.location was perfect, easy walk to great restaurants and the beach. Would stay again.
