Beautiful View

This property is right on the water with amazing ocean views. It is a short walk to many restaurants and the beach. We stayed for a few nights during The Sentry PGA golf tournament and had a wonderful time.

Very nice property

We had problems getting into the condo because neither the key cards or door code worked but the owner was quick to help us out. The balcony looks out over the ocean and it is wonderful to hear the waves. I suggest you check the location of places you want to go and try to find a close place. It took us 45 minutes to an hour to get to the luau, snorkeling trips, etc that I had arranged. There were closer places I could have chosen but I didn’t think about the drive time.

Perfect unit for extended family

One of the best equipped condos we’ve stayed in. Fantastic oceanfront views and nice balcony to watch turtles from. In-unit washer and dryer worked out well. Nice beach right beside the property. Grills at the pool could use a little work. A little finicky to light.

Relaxing and enjoyable Maui stay!

We stayed (8/8-15). Our group consisted of family of four and a set of grandparents. We loved the location and views of the ocean. There is beach access just a few steps away. The location to the pool is convenient as well as to various sites, beaches and eateries through Kaanapali and surrounding areas. Positives: 4 Tommy Bahama beach chairs and a few various sizes of coolers. 6 beach towels as well. A/C units within property helped keep the temp cool but definitely suggest closing blinds during the afternoon sun. Well stocked kitchen with pots/pans and cooking utensils. Beds and linens were comfortable and high quality. The location of property is very convenient to local supermarkets, restaurants, shopping and beaches. Negatives: Not many to note but I have a few. If you plan on much cooking, plan on purchasing cooking oil/spray and any spices you may need. Salt/pepper is the only thing provided. A “starter” pack of laundry and dishwasher packs were provided but we quickly ran out with 1 to spare. Again, plan on purchasing additional if you cook/wash frequently. The A/C units did keep mostly the living area and main bedroom cool. As others mentioned, guests staying in back bedroom and loft were hot. Fans were provided which helped a bit. Definitely recommend keeping blinds closed during afternoon sun. Overall we enjoyed our stay and recommend if the minor inconveniences noted are not a big deal. Mahalo!

I would never recommend them

I checked in and the front desk gave me card keys. We went to the unit and it did not accept card keys. We tried the code we were given and it did not work. I went to the front desk and they helped as much as they could. The contact number for the owner did not work. The contact number for the cleaner was incorrect. I contacted the owner and management company via email and phone number and no answer. I called VRBO for help. They tried all the numbers and no answer. They were going to cancel our entire reservation for the week and try to find us another place. Finally they got through to the owner who changed the code numerous times remotely and it never worked. Finally their new mangement company changed the code to one that worked. We sat outisde for nearly over an hour and half trying to get this figured out. Security told us the code they had didnt even work. When we got in, the managment company said we had to wriggle the door handle all over to make it work. The lock and door mechanism was not working as it should th entire week. This alone I would never recommend this place to anyone and we would never return. One bedroom also did not have air conditioning. The master bedroom was rather warm also.

Beautiful Condo overlooking the ocean

The entire property is well maintained and the staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Just a few minutes walk from several tasty eating places. Beautiful pool, and steps away from the ocean.

Great ocean access but hot with unwanted critters

This unit has a great view and very easy access to the beach. There were German cockroaches in the unit that could not seem to be controlled or eliminated. The management company was responsive and came to put out more roach motels but we did not use the kitchen (otherwise we would have cooked and eaten in) because they were constantly on the counters, in the sink, and on the floor, dead and alive. Also, as another reviewer commented, the ac units cannot adequately cool the apartment. We had all of the fans on and tried everything to get cool air to the back bedroom without success.

Nice Property

This unit has a fantastic view of the ocean and the Maui sunsets. The complex had a pool, shuffleboard, mini golf and grills, all of which we used. It was easy to get to other locations on Maui, even with the unfortunate detour due to the Lahaina fire last year. We had a great time!

Wonderful week

Nice sized condo with a spectacular view. It sleeps 6 but we only had 4 adults and it was the perfect size. All appliances worked - washer and dryer were great to have. In master bedroom due to design - people from the next units balcony can see right into the bedroom IF you have the window blinds open. Be careful. Overall a great stay. We want to go back soon!

Dissatisfied

The location is ok however the AC is undersized for this property, the temperature was at 78 when we arrived, took 1day to get the level down to 74 with all curtains closed, the back bedroom does not have an AC unit and the couple was not comfortable the entire trip. The TV cable was out for 2 days, the master bedroom TV could not get working. The second day we left some food on the counter and it ended up being infested by the bugs, the second day the cockroaches appeared, this absolutely made this place rated at the bottom

Family Trip

Beautiful location and accommodations sum up our experience! The lanai view of whales, dolphins, and sea turtles was just amazing- we spent a lot of time enjoying the wildlife. The condo was comfortable and the layout worked well for our group --everyone had their own space and we appreciated the convenience of having a washer and dryer. Janet was very responsive to a slight issue we had and it was fixed without any problems the next day. We would love to stay here again in the future!

Great place to stay!

We loved our visit to Maui and the Papakea. The condo was clean and well-stocked with all of the cookware we needed. We made most of our meals during our stay and had plenty of space to spread out. We loved it!

Beautiful property

Janet’s condo is in the perfect location. Saw multiple rainbows, turtle and young seal napping on the beach. Sitting in the lanai every morning, such beautiful ocean views. We walked to Kaanapali restaurants several times during our stay. The condo is the best stocked condo I have ever been in. Her kitchen has everything, you only need to buy food! Her unit will always be our first choice in Maui!

Family vacation

This unit was perfect for our family stay. We were on vacation with our adult children and their partners. The three bed, three bath layout gave each couple plenty of personal space while allowing us to enjoy time together as well. The view from our balcony was incredible. Many people from our travel group came to our unit specifically to see it. Janet was easy to work with. She was flexible when we needed to make a change to our departure date and she clearly communicated everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The end of our stay coincided with the devastating fire in Lahaina. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Maui.

Wonderful stay!

This beautiful condo had everything we needed for our stay for my husband and I and our two adult children. We had our own bedrooms, bathrooms, a beautiful view. We saw dolphins and turtles from our view on the balcony. The kitchen was well-equipped. There were beach towels and beach chairs, a small cooler. The owners were great communicators. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing Condo!

This was an amazing oceanfront condo in one of the best locations in Maui! It is well maintained and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Janet was super friendly, a pleasure to work with and answered any questions we had during our stay. I would highly recommend for any family looking for a great condo, property and beautiful sunsets. This was our favorite family vacation, and we will definitely be coming back! Thank you, Janet! Mahalo for everything!

Roaches in Paradise

Our first impression was awesome. Until we realized that the condo was infested with roaches. All 10 days of our stay, we encountered roaches. Morning, noon and night we battled with them in the kitchen. They were every where,even coming out of the electrical outlets. This was our 7th trip to Maui and we've never encountered such a sight. I called Janet/owner to advise her of our encounters and she said the roaches were normal and had the condo serviced regularly. Janet became very defensive and started up come up with excuses, then threatened to have us kicked out because we were unhappy with the condo. And the fact that the exterminator had access to our unit without approval when we were out was also upsetting. The complex over all was beautiful and all the staff/workers were outstanding. But we will never stay here again. The owner Janet, was very unprofessional and seemed to be upset and put out that I called during her visit with her 90 yr. old mother's birthday. I will be sure to tell all my friends about this place. Never Again!

Spectacular view steps from ocean

Comfortable beds, so great for all 3 bedrooms to also have a bathroom, plenty of sit around space & the view was spectacular! Can be a little warm especially in back bedroom & loft but fans are provided. Owner was easy to contact & very responsive.
