The front desk staffs were helpful and sent my bag to the room. I was confused on how to locate the light switch for the bathroom. Guests are allowed to smoke in the public area, so I ordered my dinner to eat in the room. Breakfast buffet was not good! I had the worst orange juice ever. It looks like pineapple juice but taste like from juice powder mix.

This is an excellent, clean, very spacious hotel

This is an excellent, clean, very spacious hotel near the new airport that's being built. Its 50km from the existing airport, and unless yr staying here for business nearby or one of the many Meetings/Incentive/Convention/Exhibitions they host, its a LONG way (allow an hour to the brewery at RMB 200 by taxi) into town. The food, especially in the Chinese restaurant and the breakfast in Feast, the lobby lounge are superb with a very wide selection. Both are strongly recommended. My only comment would be that very few (and almost none of the junior) staff spoke English (and equally, no, I don't speak their mother tongue), which I'd expect in an international hotel. ALL the staff (wait staff, concierges, reception and so on) have a translation app on their phones, so communication is not that difficult, but my (yes, foreign, monolingual) view is that the translation app is a DIS-incentive for the staff to learn English (or French, Spanish, Russian whatever). That said, the staff were all without exception, pleasant, smiling, couldn't have tried harder and came over as very eager to please, and trying hard to be as professional as possible.

Comfortable hotel in China for the Chinese

Hotel was good, food was great, being English it was a little difficult to communicate (I found myself having to ask for an English speaker quite a lot) however that is being a little picky considering I was in China. Also being English I found it difficult to stomach the constant coughing up of phlegm and spitting it into the strategically placed rose petal and water filled bowls throughout the hotel. I guess most of the guests here would be Chinese and used to it!
