Beautiful Property, But Management Ruined the Stay
The property itself was beautiful, spacious, and had great potential for a wonderful trip. Sadly, Luxury Lodging’s mismanagement turned it into one of the worst travel experiences we’ve had. Our confirmed 2:00 PM early check-in code didn’t work. We stood in the rain for an extended period, making multiple calls as our luggage and clothes got soaked. A downstairs neighbor told us the “owner” was coming, but a resident arrived instead, communicating with the company while we waited. Even after she agreed to let us in, she had to call them again and take my ID before granting access.
While still outside, we were told for the first time that we wouldn’t have a place to stay for our last night due to “maintenance.” This was never disclosed before arrival. They initially promised to book and pay for alternate lodging, but over the next days we got constant, contradictory calls from different staff who clearly had no idea what was going on. Eventually, they told us to book the new place ourselves and offered no help for the hours between check-out and check-in.
We spent our entire trip anxious about Monday and Tuesday. The property is lovely, but the management company’s lack of communication, broken promises, and unprofessional handling completely ruined the stay.
