The staff couldn't have been more attentive, the entrance, common area with the lounge and dining room spectacular. The views from the antique windows were magical. Honestly, the common areas are as you would hope for such a magical historical place, the location was excellent, very walkable but quiet on a side street with the patio along the canal. It was really just our room - and not that the bed was not very comfortable, the sheets and amenities of coffee in your room and water - but for the SLH and the cost, I had hoped it would be a bit more kept with the walls, carpet and furniture.

Wonderful, location and staff! Breakfast was one of the best on our trip. All restaurants they recommended and reserved for us were amazing! Only drawback is older age people have a problem getting into out of their high tubs, and very low ceiling in the room downstairs-so would not recommend for people over 5’11

The hotel is beautiful, there is no doubt about that! It’s designed perfectly and it feels very luxurious. We were disappointed, however; to stay in a room that had quite a serious mould issue in the bathroom. It covered the walls and the ceiling and caused a very musty smell when the shower was on. We didn't spot this until later in the evening as we had dropped our bags and left earlier in the day to explore the beatiful city. We did contact reception to request a room switch but they didn't respond. It was a difficult nights sleep was I was worried about the affect of the mould on my breathing + chest.

This hotel is quaint and charming. The staff are accommodating and polite. I booked the basic room without fully reading that it’s at the entrance of the hotel. Still a charming room but the noise from the street and sliding doors kept me up. They were able to upgrade me for a small fee. Both rooms were clean, comfy and had everything you’d need. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel! My room had a canal view! The room was very quant and had a nice ambiance of old Bruge! The bathroom was very large and modern with a great shower! The bed was one of the best I’ve ever slept in! I highly recommend this hotel!
