Rooms are spacious but tired and need to be updated. Leaving only one bar of soap at sink and none in shower not sufficient. Asked for water and was told to go to bar to be charged almost $8.00 is inappropriate.

This hotel in its day was top notch. It is getting tired and needs some attention to certain areas. Our shower had black areas between the tiles and we loved the outdoor patio but the ceiling/roof needs replacing.

For the money you pay for your room to stay there. It's a shame that they nickel and dime you for everything else. The food is way too expensive and it really is nothing special. We actually enjoyed our meal more when we went into Huntsville to eat

Booked a room via Expedia- got there and was told they do not honour bookings for the room I booked via Expedia so they “upgraded “ us to the main building - the girl checking us in advised us that the only pool was in the area I had originally booked for which you had to drive to - since it was a late check in for us / by the time we rushed to get to the new room - change and head down so my little girl could have a swim, it was closed- only to find that when came back to the main building there was in fact a pool area there we should have gone to instead. The room I originally booked had a separate seating area, a nice balcony overlooking the lake and was fully renovated- our”upgraded room” had none of this.

Not clean and toilet is way too small

During my stay of 3 nights .. toilet was out of power twice, 2nd times happened , Calling Front desk, no one answered, btw… we found spider and mosquito in our room, the hotel just not clean enough

We have been staying at Deerhurst almost every year and love coming back. But few things for families to know - there is no microwave, kettle and decent fridge (fits few cans at the most) which are must when you have kids. Also, nearest Tim’s, McD etc are 7 km (10 min drive). Pls carry ice box, ice is available on every floor. There is crepe station near Bayshore) which is good but pricey (value of convenience). Nearby lake, kayaks, canoe, warm water outdoor pool, jacuzzi….fun never ends. Service is great, amenities are awesome, just enjoy!!!

The resort is okay. There are activities to do, but I found the space dedicated to indoor entertainment a bit too small—especially if you’re stuck inside due to bad weather and have small kids. The outdoor area is nice, but unfortunately, when we asked for beach umbrellas, the response from the resort manager was very sarcastic: “We do not offer beach umbrellas or sun cream… I have an idea—you can go buy an umbrella at Canadian Tire.” After paying so much and considering that there is a beach and three pools with chairs, you would expect, as in most places, that beach umbrellas would be provided—especially for families with young children. I found the response quite disrespectful, and I truly hope something will be done about it.
