Very unhappy with the Clarion policy to charge my CC an additional $100 to be refunded if room is OK after check out and I follow policy. Refund doesn’t come back for several days. Will not be staying here again.

We are sorry you feel this way the hold is 50 not 100 and it is a hold not a charge to the card. We release the hold after we have checked the room and you get it back within a couple days. All hotels put a hold on your card for a certain amount to make sure you have funds other than the room cost. This is to cover any bar/beverage charges or if you cause any damage. Many good hotels have the exact policy. It is also written online for you when you make your reservation. This is so you know about the hold before you book with us. It is listed under things to know about your reservation. If you would like to express your concern even more, you can call me at any time, just ask to speak to the manager.
