Older hotel but maintained well

Pros: Decent hotel for the price
Cons: The beds were too firm and there was a lot of road noise.
Location: Right along the highway.
This place got a decent review on travelocity so I was quite surprised to see this place with bad reviews on yelp. This place is clearly older but they have done a decent job keeping it up and modern. This is not a 5 star hotel by any means I think what I paid was a fair price for what we got. The room was very clean and everything worked just fine. The downsides were that there was quite a bit of road noise from the highway. The bed was way too firm for me and the neighborhood behind the hotel was a bit shady. The hotel was on top of security in the parking lot though because there was someone on duty in the parking lot, it was fenced, had cameras and also had only one way in and out after dark which I appreciated. The room has a hair dryer, microwave, mini fridge, safe, iron and board. We didn't use the pool, bar or restaurant but all seemed decent from what I could tell walking by. The coffee in the gift shop is something to be avoided. The lady had no clue how to work the machine and it wasn't good at all but that was the worst part of the experience. I did have concerns about another Yelpers claim of bed bugs. I've had some experience with bed bugs due to a shelter I worked for. These are something you don't take lightly. I inspected the creases on the mattresses (which were in covers) and didn't find any sign of bed bugs so I wouldn't actually make that claim unless you saw signs of it (they are not tiny). Our A/C worked fine

Don't believe all what's written.

On booking sites it states complimentary breakfast but if you book that way breakfast is not included. So you have to pay $11.95 for adult and $5.95 for kids.

Nice stay

Fam of 5 (all adults), 1 night, 2 queen suite. Comfortable enough for us to lay our head down for the night. Cons: bed rail stuck out, shirt from previous occupant was left on the floor (blended in with the carpet) and rust found on bathroom vent. Water is EXTREMELY HOT.

Lobby was a big party!

We enjoyed our stay from check-in to checkout! Staff was friendly (with exception to the over night attendant. He was the only unpleasant person in the entire hotel) and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Could stand a few updates but over all it was great. When we booked our room we thought it included breakfast vouchers but it didn't. The female attendant at the front desk gave us 2 free vouchers since we were not made aware that our stay did not include breakfast. Last but definitely not lease, the bartender is THE BEST! We were returning to the hotel and the bar was shutting down, in stead of turning us away she fixed our drinks. On top of that... Her mixology skills are amazing!

Stayed two nights

The first night out a/c didn't work. At 10 pm we had to move to another room in which we stayed in that night . It never got cooler than 80 in that room. We had children with us and had to be at the hospital early that morning. The next morning we asked to be moved again. In which this room the a/c was better but the room was not very clean. There were used female products under the bathroom counter. Mold on the walls in the bathroom. Thea/c leaked so the floor had wet spots.

Found items of concern

Pros: The entrance. The elevator.
Cons: The cleanliness.
Location: A highway and olive garden.
There was used soap in the shower and used toilet paper under the sink. The room had a little smell. The breakfast offered in the morning is not worth anything. The eggs were runny, there were bugs in the bread container. Then I order fajitas for dinner after a long day with the client. It was soooo nasty I left it outside the door. I mean i do understand there are alot but in the end it is all about quality.

Disappointed

Pros: ...check out
Cons: EVERYTHING COULD BE IMPROVED.
Location: WESTHEIMER IS WHERE YOU WANT TO GO. NOTHING ON SOUTHWEST FREEWAY.
Thought I was staying in a suite for a week. Water didn't work for 2 days. Thermostat didn't work. No batteries in remote. Sliding doors broken. Elevator keeps opening and closing at top floor. All-around unpleasant. They had some meeting for homeowners so there was no parking for people staying at the hotel.

Nice hotel

Pros: the rooms are spacious and include a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Maintenance service is very quick
Cons: making the front doors more sound proof and maybe making the glass more private where people passing by outside can't see what's inside
Location: a little far but I didn't mind that
this hotel ranks among the ones that are moderately priced. I will probably return to it on my next trip to Houston, TX

Prepare for your guests please!

Pros: The room was nice and clean. The price was reasonable.
Cons: The breakfast was sub-par. Not enough bedding, or bath towels for our group.
I made a reservation for 6 people in a suite. When we arrived, we checked in and saw the sleeping arrangements and went out until late that night. When we came in, we went to pull the sleeper sofa out and saw that there were no pillows, blankets, sheets...so we went on a hunt thinking they must be in a drawer somewhere. Nope, nothing! So, at midnight I call the front desk and George (who was nice, but not very informed) brought us a blanket and sheets, but didn't have any extra pillows. He left them for us to make the bed. I opened the blanket and it was very damp. So, I called George back and he brought us a second set up for the bed and left again. This time, he brought us a mattress cover and still no blankets or pillows. At this point, we gave up and salvaged bedding from the other two beds for the night and made due. Suggestion, if a room has been booked for 6 people, make sure you have bedding for 6 people!

One of the best places in town

This is one of the best places in town to stay at. I've been to serveral in town but will now only stay at Crowne Plaza - Southwest. The staff is just very welcoming and feels like home.
