If you have a boat and want to stay at Claytor Lake, this three bedroom house with boat dock is a good choice. Has dining table that can seat up to eight (there was five in my group), plus there is a smaller table in the kitchen that could seat four kids if you want them separate from the adults. As you walk through the back of the house, you go by a room with a round table and futon sofa/bed. The round table is great for playing cards or board games. My son used it to place his laptop and do a programming homework assignment. The next room you come to is the TV room. Following that is a bathroom and three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king mattress (very soft) and has a master bath with a garden tub and separate shower and toilet area. There is a screened-in back porch that runs the whole length of the house. It has a ping-pong table, air hockey table, patio chairs, and a gas griddle (which did not work for us, the only disappointment.) The back yard gently slopes down to the lake. On the way down there is a grove of mature trees with a fire ring in the center. Then on to a gazebo with seating, then on to the dock at the water. There is a boat ramp but is only suitable for launching jet skis or very shallow draft boats like a Jon boat. There is a public boat ramp about 15 minutes away at Dehaven State park. The house is at the end of a cul-de-sac with just enough room to park a truck with boat trailer off to the side on the right, and just enough room to turn the whole rig around to get out. We arrived late at night and parked there and unloaded our stuff to the house, then took the boat to the park ramp to launch the next morning. We had a great experience there over the Labor Day weekend. I highly recommend this home for your Claytor Lake vacation.
