Summer trip

My family and I visit HHI every year. We enjoyed our stay in shipyard. Jon was very nice to work with and answered our questions. Shipyard was not as busy as some of the other places we’ve stayed, so that made bike riding nice. The condo is updated and clean.

Great location in Shipyard

Great location, and easy beach access with the parking pass or the bike rentals. Unit setup was perfect for our family. Wish the back porch had been screened in but the bugs weren’t too bad. Beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were very cramped and made everyone trying to get ready at the same time a little challenging. Full size washer and dryer. Very convenient access to nice community pool.

Just what we were looking forward to!

This villa is bright and clean and spacious. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed our morning coffee on the patio watching the golfers and wildlife. This villa is across from the pool and only a 10 min walk to the beach. We enjoyed our vacation and hope to be back next year.

great spot in Shipyard

Potential to be a great unit, but REALLY dirty

The unit is disgustingly dirty. There was sticky stuff on the floor when we checked in, food under the dining room table, soap film on the bathroom walls, huge amounts of dust under every bed, and dead roaches upstairs. The TV had smear marks from food on the front of it, and the bath tubs had old hair in it. I called the property manager upon check-in and let him know that the floors needed to be vaccumed and mopped. He told us that he going to call his cleaner to clean the sticky stuff on the floor and the food under the table. At that time, we were only on the first floor so we weren't able to see the rest of the issues until later that night. We went to dinner and came home to the sticky spot still on the floor, but it appeared that they spot vaccuumed the food under the dining room table. I rubbed a paper towel on the kitchen floor with hot water and it was black after wiping it on the floor. I sent that picture to the property manager and said that it was unacceptable how dirty it still was and that they obviously didn't mop the floors. All that was said is that he apologized for the issues, but provided no solution or offer someone to come back and clean. I waited a couple of days to see if he was going to fix the issue, and when I didn't hear back, I was forced to buy a robot vacuum to clean the upstairs and downstairs. The floor was still filthy and it turned our socks black. I called the owners to let them know of the issues and no response.

Great condo!

We loved our stay! Condo was the perfect get away spot. Great location, great lay-out. It was just as the pictures showed. We were very comfortable.The outdoor patio was a big hit! Condo was a home away from home!

Week at the Beach

Nicely updated unit; it felt like new construction on the inside. Jon and Donna were very good hosts, and put a lot of personal touches on things with respect to amenities to make the stay more comfortable. It didn’t feel like renting from a property management company. Great value for the price.

Great home away from home.

Decided to book a last minute Hilton Head vacation and this newly remodeled place was a home away from home. Communication was great. Very attentive. Slight problem with locking system and Property Manager answered my call immediately and handled the concern promptly.

Great family getaway spot!

We had a great time. The condo was newly renovated as described and was a great layout for our family of 4. The Shipyard community is beautiful and quiet, with lots of bike trails. We saw lots of nature and animals including deer, alligators, a variety of birds and more. The condo is right across the parking lot from the pool which was never too crowded and our girls had a blast playing there when we weren’t at the beach our biking around. The location was great! Only about 0.3 mile to the beach access. The beach was great, crowded at times but you could walk a bit further down the beach from the access ramp to find more space. The water was beautiful, during low tide it had some nice little pools for the little ones to play in. We saw dolphins, a shark, starfish, crabs, and sand dollars. The condo is a short bike ride to Cologne plaza shops, restaurants and some fun parks for the kids. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. The grill was great to have to cook some of our own meals. The property manager was quick to respond and easy to get in touch with when we had a couple of questions. Great customer service! Would definitely recommend.

This condo is exactly as described. We took our family of 5 and had plenty of space and privacy during our stay. My husband and son especially liked waking up everyday to watch the golfers from the back patio. The condo is across the driveway from the pool and a short 10 minute walk to the beach. I only walked one day, we decided to use our parking pass and drive down to the beach access within the property. The gated community offered plenty for the whole family. The property managers were awesome and helped us whenever we needed it. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
