I stayed at Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar for 6 days. The property is beautiful, and most staff were friendly and attentive. The buffet had good variety, and the entertainment especially the white party and pool games—was a highlight. However, the stay was disappointing overall. My room wasn’t ready at check-in, and when I got in, the sheets and towels were stained. It took three hours to get them replaced.The coffee machine in the room was not cleaned, once hot water was ran through, dark brown water came out on the first use. Throughout the stay, towels were often delivered dirty, and I even found roaches in the bathroom. I also found the bathroom layout inconvenient. It was open with no door to the shower area, which may not be ideal for those sharing a double room. Throughout the resort and the sister resorts I found most of the drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic )overly sugary and not particularly enjoyable. Also the pool water was always hot. The beach was filled with mountains of seaweed with a foul odor. Resort transportation was slow, which was difficult for my elderly family members, as we waited up to 20 mins at times. While the resort has its strengths such as the entertainment and attentive buffet staff the ongoing problems with cleanliness, hygiene, and delayed service significantly impacted my experience. Because of these issues, I would not stay at Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar again and I would be hesitant to recommend it to others.

This was my wife's and I third time coming to Bahia Principe Ambar. This time, we celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We've seen a lot of changes throughout the years. We can definitely say that this trip was one of the most memorable stays. The daily entertainment was amazing! From the Foam Party to the White Party to Karaoke... All of it was amazing! I know that some people have given this property low marks due to the issues of reservations for the restaurants. I can tell you all that, every reservation that I had for the restaurants were honored. I had no issues at all reserving. The reason for this is because (and please take heed to this advice) ... I got the Bahia Principe app on my phone. 10 days prior to arriving at the property, make sure you put in your reservation code on the app. Once that happens, I can pretty much guarantee that any all reservations that you desire can be made, hassle free, and made on the dates/times that you desire! Also, the app can help plan the activities that you may want to be a part of. If you have the app, then your experience will be 10x better!! The only thing that I can say that was bummer... My wife's luggage was broken into @ PUJ, as we left to go home. (By no means is this reflective of Bahia Principe) However, be cognitive of the items that you check in and that you carry-on the plane. If you're flying Buisness class AND have luggage marked "Heavy", it's a prime target for those who work @ PUJ. This is just an FYI...

Long process to check inn , first room they give me had a terrible smell , poor food quality , no real orange juice, drinks very poor in alcohol , I was a VIP , I wasn’t able to go any restaurant bc you have to make reservations I couldn’t get one , so ended up eating at the buffet for five days , I talked to the a person at the service desk she was able to make a reservation not to the restaurant I wanted to go but to just one , THE MEAT , when I got there the restaurant was not busy , and for my surprise, if you you wanted a good meat cut they charge you for the dish NY price , why do you have to pay extra when you are in all inclusive, also they had a Dominican night , with music dancers and food , but you have to pay 20 dollars to be part of it , it is done in a restaurant, , I the place needs to be updated , furniture in your room is very old , the table at my deck had cracks, chairs poor quality, .. I won’t ever go back there .

Food was fantastic. We were able to reserve restaurants in multiple Bahia Principe resorts which were all connected. We also pool hopped one day which was great to experience each resorts atmosphere. Only down side we experienced was with our room which had the air turned off when we arrived and everything felt musty and borderline moldy. We attempted to switch rooms and the one shown was worse. As we were leaving we did see staff removing beds and replacing with new ones which I’m sure helped the situation. Overall great time and absolutely amazing staff!

Beautiful resort. Restaurants are great, coffee shop absolutely lovely. Staff is amazing, friendly and welcoming. Definitely will go back.

I like the hotel is wonderful they have everything .....the room is bigger,clean,excellent...the food in the buffet is amazing and the service wonderful....in one word is great...I recommend Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar
