So glad I selected Seehotel Pilatus! The room & the view, clean & breathtaking! The food, delicious! Service was great. A/C worked fine. Quiet at night. Construction going on during weekdays but that’s a sign of improvement. Loved the spa amenities! Location was perfect, away from the tourists, quiet, locals. Walking around the village was fun. A 5-minute walk to train station & to the boat dock to catch a boat to Lucerne. I hope to return someday soon.

We stayed in the Lopper Suite for 5 nights. The view from our room was magnificent. The property is well maintained and within very short walking distance of both the train and ferry stations. Excellent location with stunning view! Our room was spacious with a bedroom and sitting area. We used AC in the evening and our bed was very comfortable. Staff were very helpful, attentive and kind. We highly recommend this property.

A very disconnected vibe in this hotel. Bit of a schizophrenic puzzle to navigate it. Newly renovated rooms had incredible views which was its winning grace. Loads trip hazards everywhere as no areas connected well across whole hotel. Very dark entryway and obscure check in area. Nice sitting outside by lake though. Breakfast good.

Highly recommended

I love the breakfast buffet. So many breads, ham, cheeses, and more. The view from where I usually eat my breakfast was amazing, overlooking the lake or when it’s not raining, sit outside, have a drink of coffee and watch the ducks swim by or just enjoy the mountain/lake view. The location was about 6mins walk to/from the train station which made my travel to Mt Pilatus and Titlis very short. The front desk receptionist Linda was very helpful and assisted me when I needed something without hesitation. Great customer service extended to me by her. Thank you Linda! I appreciate you very much. The thing that I did not like during my stay was I can hear the people’s footsteps from above my room and when they pass by. Another is the configuration of the room where I was in. The foot of my bed was directly close to the door. Other than that the hotel is an excellent place to stay.

This is not a 4 star hotel. I don’t understand how it got this rating. Hotel is outdated. Bathroom had a weird scent. No amenities (shampoo/conditioner/lotion). The hotel entrance smells like a pool. Checked out the hot tub and it was not hot at all. Sauna was nice downstairs. An annoying part was that they will charge you for the bathrobes if you do not bring them down when you check out. So not only do you have to make sure you have everything packed- you have to remember to bring down bathrobes with your luggage.

You will want to come back! We Did!

Second time staying here and as magical as the first 7 years ago! Get a lake front room - it is SO beautiful. Breakfast buffet delicious and included, restaurant convenient as some days hard to find a place close by to eat due to closed or no reservations. Our dinner was good and not too expensive. And I would avoid staying in Lucerne because of prices vs this fairy tale village just 10 minutes away by public or private transport. Ferry stop to Lucerne is one easy flat block away. Ferry is gorgeous excursion in itself. Train is 3 blocks but uphill - so inexpensive on train to take you to Lucerne - 10 minute ride. (or Lucerne home so you can walk downhill). We took the train all the way to Basel $25 to start our river cruise. How easy was that! Used a Taxi to take us to Mt Pilates Gondola; you don’t need a private guide. Market across the street, bakery, and loved the church bells and mountain view’s too. The spa area is fun. Swam for like 3 minutes in Lake Lucerne, mind you late Sept. Then walked like a stork on rocks, then into the air bubble lounges, back and neck water massager and finally hot tub. There were saunas, work out equipment and massage service you could set up too. It isn’t glamorous, but it is different, especially for US tourists. But Lake Lucerne is in my top 5 most beautiful places on earth, and I loved this hotel so much, I came back to it. Will do it again in another seven years - and stay at Seehotel Pilates.

The views from the balcony were amazing. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good. the beds were very comfortable. highly recommend this hotel - just outside of lucerne and on the train line.

This hotel is nothing like what is advertised on the web. We are a family of 3, they gave us a room with one queen bed for all of us. The room was super tiny. The toilet smelled bad, shower edges were dirty. Breakfast buffet was not fresh, the fruit salad I grabbed taste old. I spent the night there because we got to the hotel late. Thankfully we were able to book another hotel, but so inconvenient after a long flight and having our little one with us.
