The rooms are outdated. Toilet worked very slow. No smart TVs. Tv in the bedroom did not work at all. The remote control had no back to it. The light fixture in the bathroom works very slow.

A great alternative to the Star Plaza

Pros: Quiet
Cons: Poor breakfast
I chose to stay at the Marriot due to its closeness to the Star Plaza rather than staying at the Raddisson. Having stayed at the Raddisson for concerts, I was disappointed in all of the noise from from other rooms and the general traffic in the halls . At the Marriot, I was able to walk across the parking lot right to the entrance of the theater and was not bothered by noise in the hotel. They do have a problem with not having enough tables and chairs in the breakfast area and they ran out of coffee, which to me is inexcusable. But overall, I will stay there again.

General Manager is so unprofessional

Was there end of June fior a family reunion. Hotel was overbooked due to poor management and lack of foresight. Instead of a 2 bdr suite we reserved my family of 6 was FORCED to sleep in a 1 bdr suite. We were comped the room and given 2 roll away beds but the room was too small to even lie the beds down. My husband had to sleep on the floor. We were crammed and uncomfortable. My son had just returned from Iraq and was looking forward to lounging in a nice hotel. Well that didn't happen. GM was rude and very uncaring when we complained. The other lobby staff was equally as rude and unprofessional. The pool was ice cold and when I informed the lobby staff the dumb blonde @ the lobby said there was nothing she could do about it. Overall worst hotel I've ever stay in. Was given a gift certificate but I can't spend 1 night in any Marriott hotel for that price. Don't think I'll ever stay at a Marriott hotel again. J.W. Marriott you can thank your GM for that.
