Great Location

We enjoyed everything about our stay. Unfortunately, was away from the house the majority of our stay, but will definitely come again when we can enjoy the outdoor amenities in cooler weather. The beds were very comfortable and slept great. Looking forward to our next visit.

Spring break 3/24

Cabin is absolutely gorgeous. Pictures don’t do it justice. The view of the mountains in the morning on the front deck was awesome. Our family had more than enough room to move about the cabin. Owners supplied everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was a joy to cook in. Will definitely be looking to stay here around holidays!

Pictures are beyond accurate. The cabin is so warm and comfortable and has anything you can imagine that you would need. Excellent host and a beautiful home! Will definitely return and recommend highly for a wonderful stay.

Perfect cabin for a quiet escape to the mountains

My husband and I have traveled many times to the north GA/NC mountains for a cabin getaway. This cabin in Hayesville, NC is AMAZING and is in a great location if you want easy access to the surrounding areas. Misty Mountain Pond Retreat is stunning and the thought which went into this cabin is noticed everywhere. This tasteful home has everything you would ever need for a very quiet escape. Whether you travel as a couple, or you love to travel with family and/or friends, this cabin has comfortable rooms, beautiful furniture/accent design, great views and if you like to cook it has an amazing kitchen with everything you would ever want and more. The game room, outdoor grill areas, multiple fireplaces and ample seating is perfectly accommodating for every guest. The owner is responsive and easy to communicate with when you have any question during your stay. We look forward to returning next year if our schedules allow. This cabin is a fabulous find and one you will not want to miss!!!

Beautiful cabin

My husband and I have stayed in this area for many years now, this cabin rates at the top of the list! Everything you could want. Wonderful kitchen, (that stove ❤️) we ended up in the game room every night for pool and dart competitions! I spent many hours on the front porch just taking in the views! Groups of turkeys would wonder the country side as well as a few deer. I kept imagining how lovely it would be to stay there during fall or winter with a fire going on that porch.The cabin is in a great area, close to all our favorite restaurants and the kids played both the neighborhood golf course and the course at Brasstown Valley resort…..gorgeous!

mountain getaway

Wife and I have stayed at numerous cabins over the years and normally eat our meals out during our stays. This cabin is different in that it is very accommodating and with the great kitchen and outdoor grilling area we found ourselves picking items up at the local stores and vegetable stands and cooking meals at the cabin as it is such an enjoyable place. Cabin location is great for basing you daily adventures or just some serious down time. Access is via paved roads which can be navigated by normal vehicles. Location feels secluded but is actually close to town, grocery store, the lake and golf course. If you want to take a walk and not a hike I recommend driving to the Dam a couple of miles away as it has a great paved trail across it with some beautiful views. The interior and exterior of this cabin shows real pride in ownership and will not disappoint. The location is very quiet with lots of nature around and a very relaxing mountain view. Property manager is very responsive if needed. Already planning a return trip.

Last Swing before the Ring

Well to make a.long story short my oldest son will be getting married on April 29. So this was the guys trip to play golf and fish. I will say the house was AMAZING! Everything we needed was in that house. The game room is a man's dream Man Cave. We absolutely loved it and will be back. Thanks

Exceptional Mountain Home especially for a Bird Lover

Fantastic house and Property. Deborah went over and above on Stocking the home with anything you could need. The kitchen and the stove made it more enjoyable to eat in. For us it was a good location central to everywhere we headed . Nice layout for a family or two couples. Watching all the little birds was an extra treat. Hope we get the chance to stay in this home again.

Gorgeous views

The house is beautiful and clean. Very comfy beds and cozy linens. Fully equipped kitchen welcomes you to cook meals. The house offers a lot of leisure activities around the deck area as described. The views are gorgeous. Great communication with the host and accommodations. Thank you will recommend.

Quiet Cabin with Great Kitchen and BBQ Options

The cabin has a wonderful kitchen and awesome offset smoker. It's in a very quiet and peaceful area. Make sure you have wi-fi calling enabled on your cell or don't expect must reception. Easy access to Lake Chatuge and some enjoyable hiking at fire creek. The owners were very responsive.

The house was everything we could have wanted and more

Excellent stay and property is wonderful

My husband and I came for our Anniversary trip along with our friends who share their Anniversary with us. It was a wonderful weekend. Debbie, the owner/contact person, is very hospitable. She was patient with us and answered every single question. The cabin is filled with everything you could think you may possibly need. The view is beautiful, quiet and calm. Fully equipped, loved our trip and would definitely come back!

Great Fall Break weekend getaway!

We had a great weekend at the Mountain Pond Retreat. The cabin is beautiful, very clean, and exactly as described (only better). The beds were comfy, the grill was excellent, and the appliances were wonderful, but we really enjoyed the fireplace on the porch. We visited Chunky Gal Stables for a trail ride, Rib Country for lunch, and Chevelle’s 69 for dinner during our stay and enjoyed all. Everyone in our group wants to return! Thank you for letting us stay!

Beautiful Home

This was a beautiful home with a great view. Home was very well furnished and kitchen was fantastic. Loved the hard road and easy access to the home. We had a great time exploring antique shops, visited Helen, GA for Octoberfest, walked the Chatuge Dam and went to Bridal Veil and Dry Falls on our way to Highlands. Lots to do in the area.

Beautiful home!

The home itself is beautiful. There is a lovely covered front porch with fireplace to relax for coffee in the morning or to enjoy with friends in the evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials including great cook wear. The basement is the game room and the kids spent much of their free time there. One caveat is the internet is very slow and at times you may be out of service (I have AT&T and I could search the internet but couldn’t make calls, but my friend had Verizon and was able to call out). The pre-teens with us could not stream or play many of their games on their devices - but that just made them enjoy the outdoors and quality time even more so can’t complain about that! We did fish at the lake across the street (it’s catch and release but we didn’t catch anything). The master bed and bath on the main floor is gorgeous. The upstairs bedroom is directly above the master and at night if people are taking loudly you may hear each other through the vents. We didn’t get to use the outdoor fire pit in the backyard because it rained a bit during our stay but it looked nice. Overall, the home was beautifully kept and a lovely stay. Misty mountain is well named as the low clouds and fog rolled in every morning we were there creating a beautiful landscape. The owners clearly were detail oriented in preparing the home for visitors!

Great weekend away!

This place AWESOME! Great location, easy to find on paved road and very quiet overlooking pond from front porch. The cabin is so well renovated that the average person would think that it was just constructed. Everything inside is brand new and high quality! Cabinets, appliances, walls, ceilings, bathrooms...EVERYTHING! The landscape has obviously been a product of years of great projects. The fire pit is perfect and has a nice bench for sitting comfortably and roasting marshmallows or just relaxing by the fire. If you are a pro at camp fires, there is plenty of wood to scavenge just across fence or the local hardware store will gladly sell you some. We went the scavenger route as it was much more fun for the 9 year old. The pool table is very nice and kept my 9, 16, and 76 year old “grandpa” boys happy for hours. My only regret is that my post is so good they may raise the price on me next time😁. If you don’t thoroughly enjoy your stay here, it will be your own fault because the place and the host are super.
